how do replays work?

Postby noobwhacker » Tue Apr 29, 2014 1:40 am

in a replay i see u can pause, slow or fast forward.

anyway to rewind?

or skip automatically to a certain time in the game?

the way replays seem to be set up make it stupidly difficult to watch lol?

Download Replay Seeker. It helps you forward replay at faster speed than x8 and stop at desired time. Cant go backwards.

ok thanks both of you.

i bet if wc3 was made now, they would somehow have allowed replays to go backwards, lol, cause the game is so old.

also, one last question, for dota LOD, there are two teams, and at the start of the game during replay it only allows you to see one teams skills that are being picked? any way to see the other teams skills?

and also, im assuming you can't see the players skills they picked during the replay because the pause/fast forward buttons and such are blocked that area?

Thanks again!

Will replays work across game versions?
Because of the way that replays are generated, they currently cannot be viewed across game versions. However, we’re investigating methods to overcome this and hopefully can allow it in the future.

when's that

@noobwhacker You can see wat skills a player picks by checking the ENT replay page and select the specific player or by using drm.

@koblaster12345 Blizzard stopped support service long ago. Therefore, doubt it will ever happen. U will need to downgrade ur wc3 version to watch older replays.
