Autohost Werewolf Transylvania Please?
Hi, I was just wondering if it would be possible to dedicate a bot to autohosting Werewolf Transylvania? Currently there isn't even a single bot hosting Werewolf Trans consistently on any of the realms that I am aware of. It's an awesome game, and it has a decent following. I would personally love to see a bot hosting Werewolf Transylvania on a regular basis, and I don't think I'm alone. Just wanted to see if you guys were up for the idea. Thanks!

Slot Layout: Slot 9 is closed for the werewolf, I believe it does this automatically, but just wanted to let you know, just in case the bot could accidentally open it.
Number of Players Until Autostart: It would be superb if you could set the autostart at 7 players, but have a votestart system in place, because on a slow day 5-6 players will do. If this is not possible, then setting the autostart to 6 players would be a good idea.
Problems with Map: There aren't many problems with the map, it has been tested and patched for a long time now.
However, one issue that can arise with a bot hosting the map, is that if the bot remains in a game slot when the game starts, it can randomly be selected as the werewolf, ruining the game. This makes the other players frantically run around the map before the first night fall, to kill the bot's villager and prevent it from becoming the werewolf. If the bot can exit the actual in-game slot before the game starts, it could prevent this problem. Also, please do not use auto ban for leavers, when you die, you become a zombie. Many people find playing as a zombie boring, and they'll leave. This isn't necessarily bad, it's understandable.
Why the Map Should be Autohosted: Werewolf Transylvania currently doesn't have any bots dedicated to autohosting it. It is an addictive, detailed game with a great deal of depth, a bit of its own lore, and due to the random werewolf selection, it has lasting appeal because every game is different. It's creator, Jesse_James, has poured countless hours into it fixing bugs, improving gameplay mechanics, and and adding new content upon new content.
The premise of the game is simple, and new players can pretty much jump right in and get going with a solid amount of helpful in-game tips. At the same time, it has enough different layers, and enough complexity with many different professions (hunting, farming, fishing, mining, etc.) that it keeps seasoned players interested, and has a long, long lasting replay value. There are a great deal of secrets in the map (much like easter eggs) that also draw people in, and the map has bosses that appear to spawn randomly (The Prize Boar, Timber the wolf, Oberon the bear, etc., etc.) which deliver quite rewarding battles and give special rewards. It is a superb game, and it has a decent following, many of us Werewolf Trans fans are quite disappointed by the lack of a bot dedicated to hosting it on any of the realms. It would be awesome to see this game brought back, I hope you consider it! Thanks!

Very fun game. I'm sure if it was auto hosted it would be well worth it. SGN has a bot that hosts it but I'm sure if ent hosted games would fill fast. If you use a hosting service for the map the games fill very quick. SGN's bot seems unpopular, probably due to the fact that a bot occupies a player slot and can ruin the game if it is chosen as werewolf. If you don't tk the bot in game and he is werewolf, game = ruined
Only other issue would be rules. You might get a lot of qq'rs as you can team kill, but that's part of the game. Suspecting who is werewolf and trying to get them.
Highly recommend, please host. There are plenty of inactive bots, give this map a go.

I agree completely Professoroak, I think the SGN bot is down. I used to play Werewolf Trans on it, now I haven't seen it in ages. That was the only bot I knew of auto hosting Werewolf Trans. I really hope ENT considers auto hosting it, this game deserves a spot on the auto host list, it's fantastic!

Hi, Thanks for posting this. I had been contemplating on autohost request for werewolf. One advantage of autohosted WW games is it minimizes people from private hosting hacked versions of the map.

Thanks for the support guys! I hope they decide to autohost it, a lot of people really love this one, I think it is definitely high enough quality and enough fun to deserve a spot on the auto host list. I can't even think how many years I've been playing Werewolf Transylvania, and it still brings me back again, and again. Thanks for chiming in guys, hope this goes forward!

I have been playing this game on a daily basis now. I have been hosting via ent. it will definately be great if it gets autohosted : )

I'd postpone this idea by 2-3 weeks. yeah, werewolf Transylvania might be popular, but it's fine as it is with people using the public hosting system to host it.

Why postpone it 2-3 weeks? And couldn't it be said that any/all of the maps would be fine with people using the public hosting bots to host them? I just think it would be really nice to have one dedicated Werewolf Transylvania hosting bot on battle.net, and I think there is a large enough following to warrant it.

I know, but it gets tiring when replacing bots with new maps and no one joins it. I find when people use the public hosting system, more people tend to join than the auto host. Let's take Angel arena for example, It's there every day waiting to get filled, but when someone hosts the exact same version, people ram right into it. If you can get more people that are actively willing to support this, then I'd see no reason why uakf.b would reject it.

I hope people keep posting this, because this game is definitely worth it! Not a lot of players required and normally fills up fast.
