Re: Question
CCleaner is a nice PC cleaner: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Also cleans registry if you want
However, it will only do so much. There's no secret website that will make your pc run faster. There's only one way to do that: be smart about what you download. If something you want to download wants to install 2 toolbars and 3 antiviruses along with it, uncheck that garbage. Get one good antivirus software and run it periodically. Don't let applications install the other bullshit they want. When you go into an installer, uncheck everything and select "Custom" not "Automatic" for everything.
If you don't want to format or reinstall, you can go into Startup and delete the nonsense you don't need running at startup.
How to get there? Run -> MSConfig (Or Ctrl+Alt+Del for windows 8). Disable the stupid things in startup.
About windows updates: you can try running windows troubleshooter (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... =windows-8) which probably won't work. If you can't get the updates on, here's how to fix it.
Search for Windows Update (search on the Windows menu) -> Change Settings -> Select any option but Automatically Install Updates. Then it at least won't bother you anymore.
