Thoughts about Breez?

After all of these years of ID. I would say Breez is in the top 3 titans.

What makes Breez so powerful is:
- he does not need minis to be effective to siege bases
- he has the strongest heal in the game (IMO).
- he has the best Nuke in the game (IMO).

When I look at these three bullet points. I feel the first two are not that big of a deal. Breez minis are not the strongest when compared to other titans. His minis have a weak heal and weak nuke. However if Breez can get a few minis early on because of his nuke, then he can mini rush early bases.

What bothers me about Breez is his ability to kill most builders without ez.

A simple Cyclone, and Wind Storm kills Mags, Trolls, Pirates, Morph, or any builder that relies on a Windwalk immediately. If Breez decides to take a Wand of the Wind, then he can reliably kill any builder. Cyclone, Wind Storm, then if the builder begins to escape/teleport, then you Wand and finish him off.

How to fix this?
-An idea could be to remove the stun of his cyclone, but buff the damage to 125,155,185 and if its still underwhelming (I doubt it) then you can buff the range.
-Rework his nuke completely (whole new idea).

If we were to adjust his nuke, I would suggest buffing his scouting ability. Make it less random by allowing Breez to choose a direction that the twisters go.


So what is your guys thoughts about Breez? Am I overestimating Breez? or not? Should his nuke be adjusted? Thoughts?

Overestimating breeze.

If people weren't playing retarded you're not going to catch them out with your nuke.
If you tried to do wotw at mound it'd get detto'd in a real ih (possibly more than just mound depending on seeds).
The lack of slow poison makes it pretty hard to catch also and if you fail you're down like 450 mana.

Breeze doesn't scale as well as other builders to do non-aoe/shared healing but the reduction of armour and increase in attack speed is pretty good.

IMO Molt has a stronger Siege than breeze because of his passive + heal being Instant and his mini's are better for sieging, breeze is just a very strong (although lacking slow poison) titan i dont think he needs any huge changes if anything lowering his movement speed slightly because his catching ability is a little too strong Imo

I completely agree with you Mrpond. I put Breez at number 2, with Molt at number 1. The issue I am complaining about is how Breez can get minis so fast. It is a complete crutch that the titan can abuse easily.

Molt is better overall because he syncs well with his minis which Breez does not. We both know that early minis ruin games and make the game a lot less fun. Breez excels at this and I feel this can easily be adjusted.

Yea like i said before maybe tweaking his Movement speed or slightly nerfing the time on which you are in the air for his Q would help things alot without nerfing too hard

And yes, that cyclone nuke is a nuisance. The minis are nothing special really.

I had some random thoughts about Breeze.

For his nuke.

Lets loose a twister that knocks up enemies in a line briefly. Upon impact the targets will take 140 spell damage. Occasionally a smaller twister will form and carry one of the targets in a random direction for 1-2 seconds.

Notes:
- When getting knocked-up the target is thrown up into the air and once it reaches the set-height limit they are thrown back down. So roughly a .25ish knock-up time, maybe more I could be incorrect.
- You can cast this ability anywhere, unlike how the current ability prevents you from clicking certain parts of terrain(I'm pretty sure at least).
- They are not invulnerable while getting knocked-up.
- The occasional twisters are 2x2 and roughly move about 300 movement speed.
- Targets that are carried off will be invulnerable.
- This can be detonated off.

For his ultimate.

There's a little trick you can do with auto-cast abilities that allows you to use one ability but 2 different actives.

Left click: The current ultimate, aka effect A.
Right click: The secondary ultimate, aka effect B which would do something completely different.

Some people suggested to make his ultimate effect A more towards siege and effect B for unit killing, or even defensive/utility.

Notes:
- They both would have the same cooldown, mana cost, cast time etc, but requiring a different click method to active.

Love the idea carn. I am interested to see how the Breez effect will look and act in game.

About the ultimates. Would you give every titan two ultimates? Or just Breez? Anyways I like the idea!

-Ult One (Offensive): Could be 'Soulstorm' same as before (Increase Attack Speed %). Most Breez builds are straight Offense. Usually Super Regen, Crown of Command, Crown Dom, Ank of Power, Eternal Ward, and Abyssal Water/Gauntlets of Rage. Soul Storm works excellent with the current build.

-Ult Two: (Defensive Utility:) Could be 'Soulstorm' Maybe increase movement speed by ~35% for hunting, give him a slow poison for hunting, and a Vampirism like effect. This effect would give him ~100hp for every building, or infantry (Summons/builders) he kills while the power is in effect. Please realize that the numbers I give could easily be scaled for balance purposes.


My suggestion is we rarely see ultimates because titans usually get them around levels 12/13. I would suggest scaling them down to 10/11, but make them less powerful. So currently Soul Storm unlocks at Level 13 and increases attack speed by 100%. Maybe unlock it at 11 with 75% attack speed increase. And for the second ultimate scale it to however you wish.

With the changes to EXP and Fr it's a little easier to get to lvl12/13+ now, So I wont reduce level requirements by to much.

The Soulstorm(A) was going to most likely stay the same.

Soulstorm(B) that you suggested was along the lines of what I was thinking of.

Though, these wouldn't be the only abilities I planned to change.

I was going to work on his entire kit sooner or later once I had a full idea of what I wanted to do.

There are no hotkeys to right cick a spell right? If so, that unit killling ultimate is useless to me since its much harder to kill someone by clicking your spells and items than using hotkeys.

About the hotkey, I can make it so if it's auto-cast and use the hotkey it will active effect B, and double-right click to turn on without hotkey, idk.

It's possible to do what I suggestion, adding a second hotkey is possible too.
