You dont get the point. This is not about winning or losing vs merc nor about losing or winning vs the strategy.
The reason we've the rule is leaving in general is forbidden. And boosting one's elo by leaving is also ban-able via stats wipe.

You ask why the creator didn't let the lane open to spawn units; I ask you why he created a strategy whose whole point is to leave the game he designed?

@aRt)Y nono, i get your point. But i think it's a cheap excuse for not finding a way to beat it. Leaving 30 is part of the game and if he didnt intend that he would have either not introduced merc or have the lane spawn after merc leaving.

There is not much to argue about that. Just that you admins manipulate the rules to suit your playstyle. Just look at the flames and admitted hate against merc. This is not how you handle things you can't beat.

turn it around then, its a cheap trick to leave, you coudl just have won before lvl 31 as merc. Cant be more simple if you dont get it you dont get fair enough

and you still did not get the point goat. what is wrong with you? this is my last post answering/commenting your posts since it's getting ridiculous.

I am talking only about incomers going merc to rescue their team from dying in 17/20.
They are obviously way behind otherwise they dont have to go merc.

So because he is behind early game, He should be awarded with an advantage if they manage to survive 31?

You ask what is wrong with me? Something is clearly wrong with you, if you are dying on 17 or 20, why bother go merc, then die and go next game or kill the other team before 31. there is plenty of opitunitys to do so after 17/20..
Wtf is wrong with you, learn to play the game and dont be behind, that way you dont need to merc

Con of cross: After lvl 20 cross sucks.
Con of going merc: You cannot build for 31.

First you cross and your builder has 150% of recommended value and good lumberjack after 10. Then for 17, when cross is usually starting to get weak, you switch to merc and make up for the con of crossbuilding and your builder still has like 125-150% of recommened value. He keeps the high value and the ONLY disadvantage is that the merc cannot build for 31. The crossers big disadvantage of sucking after lvl 20 is taken away but replaced by a death-sentence of lvl 31.
Now you leave at lvl 30 and the big disadvantage is gone. Only the overvalued builder is left, who has approx. 4-6k more value than any other. You call this fair? You say the others should just beat them prior to 31? I ask you how? The normal ones keep being in the disadvantage until 31, when the merc suddenly leaves.

You cannot say to beat them prior to 31, when their only disadvantage/weak point is lvl 31 (when played by GOOD players not that typical pub player). I hope you get it now...

thats bullshit, cross with merc gets weaker and weaker every round. since the incomer doesnt build up value and if merc builds he steals gold. so your argument is invalid and narrowminded. you don't see the whole picture.

every round merc doesnt build is your weak point. in my experience that is every lvl after 20 except 24, 27, 28. all other levels you are much weaker than non merc cross. just because you can't think outside the box and send levels other than 27/28 you think merc is op.

Man, a merc who doesn't build on critical levels is just dumb. It doesn't even require "thinking outside the box" to build on 25 etc if it's needed, it's plain logic.

with the right send you can lose any lvl past 20 with merc cross if he doesn't build. if he builds every level you lose so much gold you are a weak crosser and lose 31 even if he leaves. it's plain logic

Well i was against it for some time ago, but around 20 out of the 20 games i played with someone pick merc on lvl 17 in cross - just delay the game to 31 and then Loose anyway. 3v4 is just 2 big of a disadvantage on 32-33-34. So the problem is small if pro vs pro meets in pub. 1 out of 100 games.

And you got the maphack to know when the merc is not going to build?!

Merc doesn't need to overbuild for lvl 21-24 because you can barely get any good send for those levels (DD is needed). Be clearly underbuilt for 21-23, slight underbuilt for 24 (or normal built if crosser is weak vs 24). Another option (for lvl 24+) is for the merc to build normally, but overbuild on the far back close to the middle-lane. The towers wont join until the builder has finished the merc's lane and barely any gold is lost while the merc safely overbuilt in case they do send.

agree, so no need for a ban rule. normal autoban for leavers is enough.
