Changes:
During month #1 you can win an average 5 Elo per game. One win (loss) will count as one win (loss)
During month #2 you can win an average 10 Elo per game. One win (loss) will count as two wins (losses)
During month #3 you can win an average 15 Elo per game. One win (loss) will count as three wins (losses)
Reasons for the Changes:
Many players do not like the fact that a season usually starts with climbing to a certain Elo within a week and then playing 50:50 games for the rest of the season. The change would make the climbing much longer because you need three times more games with a good win percentage to achieve your Elo. This change should make the games more "rewarding" if you're a good player.
The increasing Elo win every month is for players who are not as active as our most active members With only 5 Elo games for a whole season they might never reach there usual Elo. To give them a chance to win the season, we play the last month with the original Elo of 15. To prove the fact that all games are 50:50 games: A player, lets name him yo******le, has around 850 Elo with 255 wins and 270 losses (+/- 5). Assuming he lost his first 15 games (which he doesn't ) he played many many games with a 50% win rate always fluctuate around 800 Elo.
ps. the change does not affect your final Elo. It will be the same as in the seasons before. The only change is that your win/lose ratio is higher/lower
Drawbacks:
The changes will result in following:
Good players will have a higher win percentage and are rewarded for playing good with many wins.
Bad players will have a lower win percentage and are punished for playing bad with more losses.
(reward = win a game to be happy)
(punishment = lose a game to demoralize you)
It is up to you to judge now:
If you want a league with competition and everything then chose "yes, we can!"
If the whole league is more about fun for you and you don't care to play more or less 50% games for the whole season then chose "no, (I want relaxing) weekends "

And what if we play the whole season with 5 Elo? Would that suite you better then the current?

Sorry, but I made the poll more neutral
A serious suggestion requires a serious poll ^.^

Elo gain/loss will still vary in ilocos suggestion, that doesn't change.

Re: Changes for the new Season
Elo is a relative system, so whether you get 5 or 15 elo per game doesn't change anything but the number you see imo. The ranking and the relative difference between two players would remain the same, it's just absolutely lower, both the rating and the difference, but 1 Elo would mean "more".

Re: Changes for the new Season
People actually want a system where you reach true elo at a slower rate?? More imbalanced games doesn't make much sense.

Re: Changes for the new Season
Gog-magog 2 times in top10, that must be the greatest joke ever after his english skills and ba_fail bot10, whereas he has probably one of the best tower knowledges in lihl.
Just Drahque cried when he was the last picked one at captain mode, no one else complained besides him as far i remembered. I would suggest a ranking mode, where we set 4 branches with an approximate ranking - tier1, tier2, tier3 and tier4.
Tier1 contains the best players in lihl for example 1) fiji 2) ilocos 3) beep 4) ba_fail etc
Tier2 the skilled lihl players
Tier3 the not so good lihl players for those who dont focus that much on lihl or play bad frequently
Tier4 the new vouched players
Would give more fair teams (thus the best players rarely will play together and will be also the same with worst players) and after each season we change the rankings

Re: Changes for the new Season
I think tier system would work better like this.
Tier 1: Me
Rest of tiers: your suggestion.
@hao
on a serious note, the main reason this is good isn't even mentioned here - that once ELOs have been established, each w/l means much more then gaining ELO early in the season while no one is at their "full" ELO.
