Personally I find embedded videos to be exceptionally annoying. For people who don't use NoScript to block Flash by default, it also would greatly increase the page load time. What's wrong with posting a link?

eh idk its just nice to have in some cases, i mean to have 1 video in a thread wont increase the load time that much unless you guys made a funny video thread or music thread which in that case it would increase the load time a fair amount.. lol but you could just make them put it in a spoiler tab and then no load time its not a nessasary thing just sometimes nice and convenient i guess.

exactly^ its like a nice preview to see if its worth your time to even click or not. thats the nice part about it. besides it just loads the front picture not like it loads the whole video and starts auto streaming it, so not a big downside. ;p Im a good guy here im trying to enhance your site and make it better for ppl and bring more traffic here so you can trust me, im spreading the word lol

I still think this is a bad idea because if someone posts something illegal/NSFW, and the mods don't catch it for a couple hours, this can mean bad news. A link is one thing, but to actually support the ability to see and watch the vid on the forum is another.

Yes, you can still post a link, but it doesn't explicitly play the video on the forum. I am an admin on another forum with the [video] links and you can watch the video right on the forum without leaving to go to youtube or the other sites.

I'm just saying it puts more liability than just a simple link.

Cant it be supported to only show vids from youtube or maybe just show the front img of the video and when u click it, it takes you to the site instead of playing it from the forum? I mean it has benefits and i guess maybe some down sides.. is there a way to get the benefits without the downsides?

If you believe there are upsides, I guess maybe you can convince uakf.b that there are, I just can't think of any off the top of my head :/
