Is this banable?!
Is this banable?!
So, we are just in a regular game. At level 5 this player on the opposite team says they have an afk, and that he will ban and report us if we do not kick him - he gets kicked. At level 10 it's obvious that he has been taking all his leaks in the beginning, for 5 whole levels, without mentioning an afk, with 7/5 and 2200 value or something like that, but now that we are getting further into the game he now feels it is risky and just wants his own lane with humongous feeding. I did check on the replay as well. I must be able to ban him for this? Abusing an afk, and then threatens to ban people if they do not kick him whenever he desires????

While that sportsmanship is really bad, it's technically not ban-able and we never did so.

On this subject: would it actually be bannable to refuse the kick in this case? (which is what he claimed)

Re: Is this banable?!
There is no rule about kicking AFK.
However, there is another rule: "Do not deceive players about rules in an attempt to get them banned."
So he deceived about rules. But note he did not do so in an attempt to get them banned. His threat was never real, and if the others had known the rules, they would be aware of that.
From what trace (op) tells, I can't see any rule violated 100% by anyone. But the ban-threat guy might get a warning.

@Spzi Afking is ban-able. Violating a rule is ban-able. Your statement is wrong.
Not mentioning it is not deceiving. It would be if he said he afks, although he doesnt.

Re: Is this banable?!
Well, there is exactly 1 mentioning of "AFK" in the rules, and exactly 1 mentioning of "kick" in the rules:
While being AFK and abusing votekick are bannable, there is no indication that kicking AFK is obliged, and that not doing so is bannable. Could you please support your claim with a rule quote, aRt)Y?
PS: I didn't say "being AFK is not bannable". This would be wrong, as the rule quote shows. I said "not kicking AFK is not bannable". I still think this is true, as no rule exists about that. If it's an unwritten rule, please write it down for transparency.
Do not go away from keyboard for an excessive amount of time (afking), especially without telling other players beforehand. Neither are you allowed to grief by resetting the afk timer.
Any form of votekick abuse.

@Spzi
Not votekicking when someone clearly violates the rules is refusing to vote and therefore ban-able.
You are welcome.http://wiki.entgaming.net/index.php?title=EntGaming:VKRules wrote:You are obligated to !votekick any player that has broken any of ENT's rules.

Re: Is this banable?!
Oh, thank you! There's yet another rule page ... I saw it once, but while checking this time, I missed it.
Ok, so AFK has to be kicked and those who don't (given the situation is clear) have to be kicked as well.
Alright, you were right. Thanks for clarifying.

@spzi
Those who refuse to kick can be reported. Vking them also would create more chaos and misunderstanding.
AFKs are clear game ruiners and vks against them are legit, but players in the opposition team can refuse to vk them if they have not seen inactivity from these players or do not see sufficient evidence in game.

Re: Is this banable?!
If you need help as far as seeing people are afk. This is a new command !afk should tell you if a player is afk. If I was you and I didnt know the rules ten I would of kicked to be safe.
