The rule was originally to stop the strat in place that won you the game on level 7

When you sell your towers on 6 and push then leak 135~ units on 6 to get a tremendous amount of time to GG on 7 but now it is something else entirely and just ruining most games imo.

If you are going to place a rule then at least make it something that is definitive and not up for mod's discretion.

The issue is that 5 is a harder level than 7 to hold. Most people might disagree with this but it is the truth. There are so many towers like you suggested that can hold 7 but not many that can hold 5.

Haha i even held 2 bloodorcs with faeries and halfbreeds etc at 5 and won at 10 with holding 7 and 10 in that game too (against archer and aqua)

They are also not typical anti 5 towers like violets but if you roll bad you have to build those

you can hold 5 with many towers like he said half, magna, turrent, archer, lod with some dps, pyros with right value, the list goes on....

i agree to tastay. Ofc you can hold 5 with huge overbuilt. Huge ob is far more easy to play then good suicide yolo and recover at around 10. Also if we add 1leak=lose Rule, why should teams hold 7 with immo ? If both teams leak all at the same wave, who win then ? Why should a team with max king cause of lvl 7 send should be forced to hold 8, since they don´t burn a heal at all and the other team had advantage already. All this rule who force player to ob just make the rolls you get so much more important, because if you ob with weaker units you just useless to your team later on. So you just make the game less skilled, just because you want the game played like you want it.

Its not impossible to be about the same or higher value for the late game (14+17+20, after 20 there u might see a huge difference), lumber after arena and (income) like most yolo units with weak starting towers , i could do it several times (for example the game with the violets) - but its quite hard indeed, but the chances to beat a yolo archer is not an easy task either for many yolo towers in terms of value, lumber and income after 10

The key to this is to push at the right time and try to hold as many levels as possible with bad towers - so you can have the right balance or go for the other way and push nonstop, which works sometimes too - i prefer the safer method in most cases, depending on the towers

Archers isn't even a top tier yolo tower

The only reason Archers are really good is because they retain their value post 10 unlike a lot of towers and don't need to rr to recover since the unit does so well every single lvl in the game besides 20 and 30
