Why do they ask for 3 months? Because you dodged, and dodging is considered an equal violation as using a maphack.

While you could have appealed or waited out your initial ban (staff impersonating, especially "I ban you" in terms of "I will post a brq" is a question of interpretation). However, I do have zero tolerance for dodging and will promote such behavior.
