You would want to go against 5 people in 1 base?

And trapping is building a wall early-game to block the troll and using spells to counter his TP.

You tell me where 5 elves can fit all of their stuffs into one base efficiently. Then be able to maximize their income as supposed to a base with all the room and trees to quickly spawn out workers and gold mines instead of waiting and saving up for the next tier to save room.

Theres also a base that needs 3 elves to cover since it has 3 entrances.

"Elves may not build (in) a triple base. If your base is destroyed or a double base needs help, you may go there to aid with spells but you must not build."

Pretty sure the only annoying part of 5 basing would be the fact that they have 5 roots and 5 shield of gods. But if thats the case then it should be bannable for any elves to come aid a double base in any shape or form. Meaning you can't aid with income, spells, or structures. This goes against it being a team game. Sure a troll should not aim for a base with more than 1 elf in it because the spells would slow them down from gaining money. But thats where thier knowledge comes in to look for a easier, stranded base and leave duo, trio, quadra bases alone. Duo, trio, quadra bases are actually slower in income than a single base because they can't maximize their income gain by quickly spawning workers to harvest lumber.

Lets say Elf A and Elf B have 0 gold. They gain 20 gold per second. Elf A buys two of the 512 gold worker that harvest 1 lumber every 4 second. Elf B buys the 1024 worker that harvest lumber every 2 seconds. Elf A has gained more wood than Elf B because Elf B had to wait for the 1024 gold, while Elf A
was already harvesting lumber. By the time Elf A and B hit 1024, thier rates at harvesting lumber was the same, but Elf A gained more lumber.

^ example of how room is important. Crowded bases are slower. Spamming 512 works are actually very efficient compared to 1k workers 2k workers and 4k workers. Only the 8k and 20k workers are worth the upgrade. Same with gold mines.

Single bases are actually faster in terms of income. And it's not like you'd ever see a penta base. At the least, a trio base which is still easy to handle for a late game troll. Late game troll > late game elf

And for trapping, it just means the troll got out played. He should be able to handle any situation and be ready for things to happen. It is a team game. Troll should always expect elves to come gang up on the troll in any way possible. Whether it be perma rooting him, trapping him, or putting towers that reach his hut. The fact you can do that to a troll means, the troll isn't good and is just being played with.

The goal for enforcing these kind-of rules is to keep the game fair. Honestly, despite everything you said, please go troll vs a trio base and be trapped 3-4 times a game and you will see why they're rules now. They've already been discussed and came to the decision that they're all bannable. You're primarily speaking in an elf point-of-view rather than a global one, yes the income may be slower, but when you go up against a trio base and even if your HP (As the troll) is high up there, 1 root will shave a number of health on the troll depending on teamwork/towers, having 2x that power will only lessen the feed to the troll until death. Another game-breaking strategy.

Any admins against these rules or have a problem with it, speak up.

Keep in mind, my approach to these rules is to keep the special perks and freedom TnE has to offer compared to other games, while still being a game where thing won't but abused to totally ruin the fun of every player.

When i mean by totally ruining the fun, is like, me constantly killing everyone with towers.

So you're saying teaming up in a team game is game breaking? What kind of team game is it, if its detrimental to team up.
I've dealt with triple bases ofc. I played against my friends when i got randomly selected as troll. Ofc it's going to suck going up agaisnt a trio base. But that would be so dumb to go for a trio base first. You aim for weaker bases and continue to feed off that base. Thats what the troll has to do. Honestly, you think a troll would continue to farm off a base that he cant gain much income off of? or look for another base thats weaker? Farm off that base and a trio base is no problem. Late game troll > Late game elf. For Late game elf to ever win, they need a base full of end game towers.

I've lost with even a quadra base before. Troll just fed off the other bases and just came to end ours. Root and shield of god can only do so much to save you when troll has 60000 armor, 500k hp, 100k regen.

Duo, Trio, Quadra basing came about because a single base could not handle the troll alone. Trolls out-scale elves too quickly. Even Duo base is still hard to protect against a troll like how you broke my duo base on the game you banned me.

Ofc the game has to be hard somewhat. Can't just spoon feed the troll all the time

Think about it this way.

In Island Defense, if all the builders made hunters and teamed up, they have the potential to kill the Titan in less than 10 mins, every game.
10 Builders vs 1 titan. I've even seen taurens and mag solo titan when theyre fed.

TnE. If all the elves came together and teamed up, they can potentially kill the Troll. Root, silence, towers, shield of god.

This only happens if the titan/troll cant do anything about. Kill them off first quickly, find an easier target, farm quickly to get strong so nothing happens like that.

Are you saying that, teamwork is bannable? Our objective is to get rid of the troll before he gets rid of us. It's a goal thats to be accomplished by the team as a whole. To work together to take out the troll given the set of tools, skills, and buildings we have.

If you played against a room full of people who played TnE for the very first time, do you think the troll would have any hardships?
Then place the same troll in a room full of experienced players who know how to hunt the hunter? Then ban them all because they know how to play and give the troll a harder time to win.

Technically speaking, if everyone was sooooo dam noob, that they never thought of basing together, and helping each other out, these rules would of never existed because the troll would never had complained about trio basing to be an issue?

kk j4zzman. How about we do this. We ban everyone thats exhibits too much team work. So much team work that the troll can't handle. Very abusive team work ruins games. If 5 elves works together to kill the troll (because thats totally not the objective of the game) they are banned.

At this point this thread is just ranting. There's no point us repeating the reasons why things are ban-able when your answer is basically "No, they shouldn't be it's a mini game." If you want to play without rules then host it on the private ENT bots, no one is stopping you. If you want an imbalanced game with constant grievers then feel free to host. Meanwhile we'll keep TnE on ENT fun and fair, there's your compromise.....

I'm not promoting it to be unfair. This is fair. Troll still can win, Elves still can lose. Troll can lose, elves can win.

Workhouse-glitch needs banning, period.

You still saying that doing "Hold Position" solves this, just shows that you haven't read the topic carefully enough. If your troll is trapped right inbetween both, Rock/Well and that unfinished workhouse, then the troll auto-attacks the Rock/Well instead of the unfinished workhouse.

"Pretty sure the only annoying part of 5 basing would be the fact that they have 5 roots and 5 shield of gods. But if thats the case then it should be bannable for any elves to come aid a double base in any shape or form."

Totally wrong! If A helps B with spells like god-shield, troll just leaves A's base and goes to B and gets free gold. But if both share same entrance, this leaves no downside for B to help A.
I have done this several times as troll. B helps A, I run to B's base immediately and farm his rock/well before the cooldown of blink/teleport is back.

----------------------------------------------------

The map, as it is, is unbalanced. Elves >>>> Troll. If Elves seriously play as a team, shuffling gold back and forth etc., then troll stands no chance at all. No matter how good he is. Even without double-basing or more. I have seen this being done, though among 4 out of 6 elves (or was it 3 out of 5...I don't remember it clearly enough), and those 4 were constantly 3 houses ahead of me. Troll had no chance. This wasn't out-played, because the skill of the troll never was a decisive factor in this.

You want your freedom to have all different options in this map, which mostly just make the balance even worse. We want a game as fair as possible. It doesn't matter what you consider a team-game/team-play, if it is justing shifting the balance to the worse. Logically, we will forbid those kinda actions.

The elves played seriously. Of course the troll stand no chance. They were the better players in TnE. They were able to pull off great team work making the troll stand no chance. Doesn't mean its so unbalanced because a group of people were able to pull it off very well and strategically. You just showed the point that the elves, if working efficiently as a team, can protect against the troll. But what if a more inexperienced group tried to do the same thing, and they weren't able to pull it off. This example you just provided demonstrated a team that worked great together. You don't often see this happening because you don't always see great players playing TnE.

For the workhouse "glitch". I understand. But that is your fault for putting yourself in that situation. If the rock is deep in a choke point, you must be well prepared that they will root you and trap you in. Trolls can attack rocks from a distance. They can cover a 2x2 while still being able to attack the rock. If a workhouse is placed behind you, its fine because you have 2x2 room to work with. You were stuck in a 1x1 room to work with because you probably went to go hug the rock, putting you at the limited 1x1.

And to recap on what i was saying about 5 spells. Im saying, if Elf A and B had a base, and Elf C D E lost thier base, and went to support Elf A and B's base, this would be the same thing to occur. Passing the first rock will be hard.

At this point, these rules literally make it so that, there's no point of having skills. No point of having experience. No point of having knowledge on what to do. I know these things can happen to me, so i take the steps to counter it.
Example:
-Attack Rock from a distance, not hugging it.
-Inspect the entrance of the base to see whether it is dangerous or not.
-Make sure my hp isn't low enough that if they try to trap me, i'll come out alive.
-Pearl the base and see how many people I'm dealing with.
-Am i dealing with a duo baser?
-Am i dealing with two adjacent bases that can quickly blink to the base and help out?
-Is there an easier target for me to deal with?
-Is this Elf less experienced than that Elf?
-Would it be easier to target that base because that Elf doesn't know how to pressure me off feeding?

^ These are all the steps troll should take. Take these and you'll be able to win. If you go attack a base without any precautions, Ofc you're going to die. Looking at you @Hutzu, clearly you didn't take any precautions. Did you examine the choke point? Did you think if the Elf was experienced enough to trap you? Did you think about not hugging the rock, maximizing your attack range to cover a 2x2 area? If you didn't take these precautions, you're an inexperienced player. Since now you know that you died to it, you'll think twice about what you can handle.

So the troll is to blame, when he gets workhouse-glitched? Utterly silly point of view. If all elves do that, so what is the troll supposed to do then? Camp at base? The rock was placed in a way that you can only attack it (otherwise not in sight) when you are almost hugging it. I don't rock-hug for no reason.

Balance needs to be adjusted to possible best play, not to "what if the players aren't that good".

Like i said, you can simply kill workhouse with H. You just need to position yourself so you can kill it. Yes troll is to be blamed. He wasn't positioned.
And if all elves do that, then you just need to just position and get ready to press H. Enjoy having the easiest exp and gold of your life. Elves are punished for workhouse block if troll knows how to kill it. It's literally one hit for gold and exp.
