i wanna give my 2 cents in this bitch. I think -em is a disgrace to Dota and I am offended for being forced to play em for the past years just because ap games were forever empty.
EM is a fail mode much like pudge Wars or some sketchy shitty mode you play when you're bored.
Dota is all about late heros and early heros. A lot of int heros are really good early game and tons of heros are invincible late game (agility and str heros).
Some heros like pudge are super good mid game. APEM fucks with the concept and basically desecrates many aspects of the game including the branches you would buy early game. APEM cuts down half of the heros which is why you constantly see slark, bara and legion commander every damn game.
In APEM towers suck. People dive towers and kill without hesitation. In apem Keeper of the Light is like a creep whereas in AP he is feared. In ap Pudge is a pure monster because everyone has difficulty to level up. When you're level 4 already, you feel like a mega monster. In apem pudge is a joke.
AP gives each hero power value somewhere in the game early on or later. APEM completely pisses on half of the heros in the tavern.

One thing I found interesting -

Before the removal of APEM, at peak times it was hard to get into an APEM game, even if you were sitting waiting for it. Seriously, the time it took me to copy the name from the game list and paste it in the wc3 game menu, the game was already filled.
AREM games used to take about 7-8 min to fill up at peak times.

Now, with APEM games gone, AREM games are taking 1-2 minutes to fill up. AP games take a while, but not as long as they used to.

The one time I watched, and 28 (!!!) APEM games started in the time a single AP game filled up and started.

To me, that's a useful statistic to factor in. I honestly believe 99%+ of the players of EM games don't care about forums, and fighting for a cause. For them, it's just as easy to move to another community, like void.

The only thing people like -em mode is because they are getting money. Most of the carry heroes are very hard to farm at first. So, in -em mode carry can farm up really first and go really strong. But as a result, several years in ENT dota games, all people like to choose carry. Yes, carry hero are good in em mode. However, when u see everyone choose carry hero, the game become awful. And in apem mode, u can only see selective heroes every game. Heroes which are very good when he get 6 slots can be seen in all -apem mode dota game. It finally becomes way too boring.

Anyway, I'm really appreciate that the ent server get rid of -em in dota game. Thanks very much.

After trying quite a few -ap games, I am glad there are still servers still running -em. Every single -ap game results in 1 team getting ahead in first 10 minutes, other team basically giving up and it taking 30+ minutes to actually finish the game. Very boring. I'm sure -ap may be fun with in house teams but not pubs.

Jumped into an -apem game and had a semi close 32 minute game with supports that actually had ghost scepters and Euls. I don't give a shit what these idiots say about how game should or shouldnt be played, I'll play what results in more entertaining games and I think the masses have spoken, obviously.
