Wrong Username

Hi Admin,

I am facing an issue of having wrong username appearing when i use entconnect. Just somebackground info, me, my cousin and my brother all use entconnect to find games (total of 3). So when i connect to games something it will register as other username rather than mine. Is it because we share the same IP address? Is there any way to resolve this so i wont be disconnected when my brother find games?

You are logged into Entgaming.net with the right name? Ever tryed logging out and relog?

thank you for your reply. I have tried logging out and relogging in again. But previously it still shows me logging in under another acct. the thing is in war3 I will see it as my normal nick but when i check the players connected in the game thru game history it will show another nick.

The name the other users see is the name of your forum account.

If you want them to see a different name request a name change and tell us what name you want...
I strongly recommend having your name in LAN be the same as your forum name as you risk desyncing if a map cares what your name is.

It is because the ENT Connect program broadcasts game info packets to both 127.0.0.1 and 255.255.255.255, the latter will make it show up to anyone in the same LAN as you (but it is still necessary since some player's 127.0.0.1 interface doesn't work). So when you connect with wrong name you are actually connecting via the ENT Connect running on their computer. I'll see about adding options page to configure where the game info packets should be sent.
