Forum rules arent based on archives... they still forbid you to necro threads. Whether FMs enforce it as such is another question.

The main reason I removed it is because there's no need to. Threads can keep open for discussions. If mods decide to decline it, then so be it. If you do some research to see if something has been tested out, then just read the thread?

I wont have posts removed or topics locked and moved after 2 minutes. You will get used to it just like in Island Defense. Plus, the activity has been declining on the forum anyway. Once the overview actually gets messy (because you post so many high quality topics), I might get it back.

Most LIHL players would probably agree that it is a great source for citing precedence when new cases arise.
Weak argument, considering the _same_ topics are in the _same LIHL forum_ just tagged differently. One would assume you use forum search to find them, so you wont have difficulties finding them now.

I would like to support LIHL archive and LIHL mods control LIHL forum threads. In the past LIHL threads were clean and simple to read.
Weak argument. Only because FMs handle the flaming and insults now, doesn't mean it will be messy. If users make use of the post report feature (like everywhere else on the forum [also blues]), then it will be no problem. Furthermore, you as users should reflect what content you post and what it might steer up, unless you want some delicious drama ~~

I do not see any reason for FM's(whether that be greens or whatever) to be the one's deleting and locking topics in LIHL when they, as you said, will not interfere anymore.
LIHL players and mods never understood and probably never will understand that the forum moderators of ENT stand above any blue or league moderator when it comes to enforcing the forum rules. They wont interfere with LIHL in terms of administration, however, moderation (aka enforcing forum rules) is their duty. Given your inactivity, it wont harm the league anyway. _Any_ forum on entgaming.net is subject to moderation where FMs have access to it and you can deny that as much as you want but it wont change it.

tl;dr; moderation is not the same as administration to me.
Information, Rules, Guides and everything else you need to know about ENT is on the ENT Wiki.

Part A: When is a thread "dead"? Typically, any thread in LIHL is active until proven otherwise.

Part B: LIHL Admins aren't moderators first, although they do moderate. The Admins of LIHL should be those most qualified to legislate and review rules and their application - as this is an elite league we shouldn't need moderators. In a vouch based league intentional rule breaking is rather missing (obviously) and no one should be noob and breaking rules accidentally in game except trial-vouches (although missing a heal is now breaking a rule, so maybe laggers as well). The only times this has fallen to pieces has been in "controversial" rules made such as the no-clog rule (rules about pre-game behavior are unnecessarily heavy-handed, but not the business of GAME moderators).

Removing the power of LIHL Admins to craft rules and modify the league will weaken the quality of meta development and, eventually, the rules' fairness. I would recommend considering LIHL Admins as such, and thus perhaps superceding Forum Moderators in LIHL Forum management. I do, however, approve of removing archive. Locking a topic is sufficient.

tldr; last sentence very wide-reaching compared to the actual post, clarification requested

Why are admins trying to chop and change a system that works perfectly well? When lihl mods have full control of their league (as uak has often supported) the league is more comfortable with administration.
Obviously judging by all the feedback most changes made are vastly unpopular.
When a system has been designed and is working perfectly well I'm not sure why unnecessary changes are meant to be made. You twiddled, chop and changed idih and now it's dead.

I still think that LIHL mods should be allowed to administrate the league as well as moderate its own forums - the FM's always have the right to veto or override any forum moderation as they see fit.

But we do need more active LIHL moderators... The LIHL forum has 1600 topics and over 12000 posts. Making it more active than general + custom + dota + dihl + island defense combined. Also making it roughly 4x the size of the publid LTD forums. This kind of activity should warrant a dedicated staff to oversee both in administration AND moderation.

@tastay

Well, you may very well be right. I am only looking at the #'s, but I have been inactive the past 2 years. So, in all fairness, I do not have a good idea of the activity level recently as I have been gone.

If I am completely wrong in my assumption, then you can kindly disregard my post ;)

Problem is when the mods here decide to remove/close threads because there are things they dont agree about, or to shut someone up. Not bad to have someone above them to make sure that doesnt happen..
