I play WC3 less these days because of all the new games that are coming out, excluding Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3.

Yep but is speaking about it around 7 years but recently was made another step to it, some studio is already considering and have producent but its still long way to go.

edit: but it will be animated by computer whole film. Not for kids but still pc work ofc.

Well I'll try to answer every question above.
I guess you know about WOW, World of Warcraft.
Wow is based on WC3. WOW was released by far later than wc3.
These 2 games are very close related. When wc3 was released it was a hit! You know. It has been game of the year. However, it is an old game! So ppl as time passes either get bored of it or just find sth better. WOW recently released its 4th expansion, Mists of Pandaria. Before Mists of Pandaria, it was Cataclysm. Before Cataclysm it was Wrath of the Lich king. Wc3, frozen throne is related to Lich King. Where Arthas goes evil and blah blah blah...

Warcraft 2 was released 1995.
Wc3 was released 2002!!!! The Frozen Throne expansion was released 2003. And now, imagine that Lich king expansion for WOW was released at 2008. Its really old and ppl often go from wc to wow. WOW imo is better, but u have to pay. WC is a classic and i play it since i was a little kid! They SHOULD release wc5, if they did it would be a GREAT, a HUGE marketing success and imo gaming success!!! But still there is no wc4 and 11 years passed. Blizzard doesnt really work on WC anymore i think.

The release dates between D2 and D3 was 12 years. 12 years is a long time and it will be longer between WC3 and WC4, assuming of course that WC4 will ever be put into development. I think most people during 2010, thought that blizzard were never going to release D3 and that is like us right now.

Yea, there was rumor about d3, nothing done... Still, the hope came up and D3 appear. STILL. D3 is RPG or MMO (you have a hero, buy stuff on him, upgrade it etc). Wc3 is third person playing, like a command and conquer. Build unit, upgrade them, war etc. People prefer much the my hero, my stuff, my look, myskill. Then my army that getting reset every single game. There's no track, even dota2. You have a profile, but every game you have to statr back at level 1... There's the reason : d3 out wc4 never will.

I agree with Bit. Ofc you guys mean that WC is an RTS (real-time-strategy-game). But has the map-edit free. I mean, ANYONE can edit and make maps for WC3. If this didnt happen, WC3 would now be abandoned. Imagine a WC3 with only the melee maps. Not custom game. Just join game and arranged game.
