I will use this as an example, in no means is it a bias post although i posted my opinion on it https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... 0&start=15
If 4 mods agree to a ban(along with the initial mod that ban the said player) shouldn't it be up to the mod that that ban a said person to unban. That would make more sense logical and if a mod does in fact disagree shouldn't they provide sufficient reasoning and allow the initial mod to unban the said person?
I mean i understand a second opinion, but after looking at the ban appeal forums a lot of the times ban players will be contacted by the original mods/admins whom banned them.
Again I will not dwell on the fact that jiminy got unban, it just seems to be overstepping of power and a very sensitive topic as mods may hold grudges against others.
mods over ruling each other.
Re: mods over ruling each other.
Well, if theres enough reasons to unban, yes the unban may be done by a different moderator than the one who originally banned him, as long as the unban is reasonable.
Considering the person we're speaking of, yes he does have a past of having a bad behaviour (and starting abusive votekicks ingame, which never passed so far). So if we compare him to a real game ruiner (someone who refused to play/defend, afk'ed, destroyed items, etc), his impact is pretty much none, considering the votekicks were never sucessful; I'm not saying what he did isn't bannable, but taking in consideration his amount of games/impact vs his already served time, i believe it's reasonable to unban him at this time.

To talk about other scenarios, somebody might ban somebody for game ruin but since they don't know the map very well it really wasn't or that bad. So having knowledge of a game more than another mod can be a reason to unban.

Re: mods over ruling each other.
@supersexyy Thats a bit different ... since Mariah and TheGreatDane (the guy who got banned) were in chat with me + i was the mod who banned.
Dane did exactly what Mariah asked him to, just not in the appeal, but in chat.

@ilod
It is better if the mod who originally banned the violator processes the appeal. Reason being that the original mod had already reviewed the case and does not have to waste more time reviewing it for the ban appeal.
However, not all mods are always available at all times. Therefore, if the original mod is not present when someone appeals or does not respond in time, it is more appropriate for another mod to review and process the ban appeal. We expect all mods to be capable. Assuming this, it should not matter who processes the appeal. But if, a mod is not familiar with the specific case/game, he will not process the appeal. Who processes an appeal first, depends on efficiency.
Instances where one mod/admin "overrules" another mod is when the original mod made a mistake which in this case it was not, as gaara explained. Since the violator did appeal after 2 days or so and considering his overall good ban history, his unban was reasonable.

Concerning TS subject - more powerful mod over ruled less powerful mods so all is as it must be
