1- open black box called command prompt

windows 7:

option 1: start/run and type without quotes: "cmd" and hit Enter
option 2: start/ type in search box without quotes: "command prompt", the program will appear in the list click it to open it.

windows 8:
option 1: right click start, click "command prompt (Admin)"
option 2: hold windows key down and press S key, type in search box without quotes "command prompt", the program will appear in the list click it to open it.

2- type in the black box without quotes: "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit Enter

note the space after the word ipconfig

3- try now to connect to gproxy

if it still doesn't work, go back to the black box and press the top arrow and hit Enter again.
if it still doesnt work reboot

@ilocos_norte can you modify code to fix this issue with gproxy

Ive tried this loads of times months ago when diablo told me about it, never worked.

So this did not work for me for the first time today. Then I tried it again but when I went to run the Gproxy I right clicked and did run as admin and it worked fine. Just another thing to try if you get stuck.

you should always have gproxy run as admin.
here is how.

your shortcut should have like a shield on it when it runs on admin mode.

You can also create a shortcut of your gproxy and change the icon to your wc3 icon, so they look the same, but its gproxy.

I tried the same routine many many times and it never worked. Then I tried to enter bnet normally (without the proxy successfully activated) and immediately quit wc3, without even logging in to bnet.

Then i repeated the process as descripted in the main guide and it worked on first try.
