SS Tests

Now that lihl has more active mods on the team, we will be doing ss tests regularly.

For those who are not tech-savyys, an additional screenshot guide has been posted on wiki:

Please make sure you know how to take a screenshot since it is expected for a ss test to be finished within 3 minutes. If you are still having trouble after reading this guide, ask your mates or mods.

What about those who play on netcafe, im not sure its possible to go skype/sceenshot here. As far as i know it is locked- maybe dong knows better than me though.

Pretty sure you can take a screenshot. Anyway if you cannot, use your phone to take a clear screenshot and send it asap.
Shouldnt be a problem.

its also ok if we just send the .tga? or would u need to put it into a graphic-programm by yourself then? if it aint increasing ur work, sending the tga should be easier imo.

You could try free online tga to jpg or other image files.

I just press print screen and my screen shot goes into a screen shot folder... can we not just use that?

As long as the file is sent within the 3 min window, the format should not matter as long as it can be opened.

The format should matter as saving it to another file format will alter the original picture. There's no reason for not uploading the .tga, tbh.
LIHL members have posted dozens of alternatives to do that.

Can you guys require everyone to upload a random ss using the tga file to a link within the next couple days. This way people do not have to spend 20-30 min figuring it out in the game. This is a very simple process that should never take more than a min or two. There is always 1 or 2 people who "don't understand" how to do it. This would speed up the ss process in games dramatically. @nabo.

On a side note; if you have Windows 10 like me then you have to press and hold the Windows button then click print screen for the tga file to appear in your Warcraft screenshot folder. Otherwise it just goes under the normal saved pictures of the computer as a .png file.

Well "no", due to few reasons:
1) ss can be manipulated/edited. Fast send = less time to edit.

2) the reason ss taking long is because people do not know how to take ss and send it. Fault lies both to players for being bad with tech or not reading ss wiki guide and mods not doing enough ss tests until now. Number of past ss tests previous seasons is very little imo. Once we do more ss tests, people should naturally be able to finish an ss test within 3 minutes. Those who know how to take a screenshot and pm it on forum take less than 2 minues honestly.

3) need to confirm that a legit ss was sent, not a black one or fail screenshot.

All in all, plz stay patient until everyone learns and realizes that ss tests will be a regular routine.

I don't mean this to be in place of doing it during a game but just to speed up the process so the people who are bad with tech will know how to do it ahead of time. it was just an idea.

Oh, I actually read wrong. My bad. Thought u meant to have it so ppl can send ss after game or something.

I think that once people do some ss tests, they will be fine. I know that some players dont even remember their forum pass or go on forum often, so zzz.

I never took part of a ss test so far, so i tried it once with braveheart_wins. i sent to lihl mods a tga file from my screenshot folder in war3( my tga file had the icon of a adobe reader file). he said he cant open it. so my question is: can i use the following method ?
take print screen, paste it into paint, save it as a jpg file, and send it via private message to lihl mods????????????'
