HLW Auto-Ban

Hi,

I would like to propose an auto-ban system for leavers in HLW for the following reasons (spoilers are for people that may not be as familiar with HLW or my explanations):
1) Really hard late game if teams are initially balanced (2v2, 3v3, 4v4) (some people are reluctant to start the game unless teams have an equal number of players)

It is tough late game because of income cap and the lack of a balancing system - you can only get a maximum of 1000000 gold which limits send/stat upgrades. The Book also makes having less players late game particularly difficult as in a 3v2, the team with 3 players can use 1 player as a holder to guard their lanes and the other two can pin down the entire other team preventing them from going on the offensive - naturally, there are some ways around this but it is hard vs decent/good players.

2) Leaving mid tier-1, tier-2, or early tier-3 can cause a leveling imbalance

Leveling faster is what balances having less players on your team from the start - in a 3v2, the team with 2 players can gain an advantage by leveling faster and having greater relative income for tech/items, etc. If someone leaves just before teching your send building to tier-2, it can make the tech slower (pooling generally happens in efficient teams) AND tier-2 is typically hard to deal with at first as Hydras can be particularly devastating (particularly in the case of less capable players). The same is true of the start of tier 3 which makes mid-tier-2 leavers damaging but not as bad as mid-tier-1.

I thInk hlws should have an auto ban system unless the implementation process is very cumbersome which I think it shouldn't be. Although I do not normally play the lite version. Leavers will make the team suffer from a greater amount of sends per person thus creating a disadvantage. Leavers also cause the other team to ultilize more aggressive playing styles since they would not need to undertake the same amount of pressure from enemy team.

One big problem is people's stay rate. There may be those who have lower than should stay rate because they were freely able to leave games before. So, if they were to get autobanned, theyd be banned longer than they should be. This however is a problem the ent staff gotta deal with.

I would like more comments from hlw players.

@nabo. Hey. I have been meaning to follow up, but it is hard to find HLW players that are willing to comment on this - I have spoken to some, but they are not interested enough to speak out. Thank you for your time and for reviewing this, but it may be a moot point now just because the community is too small.

I played a lot of HLW lately.
I think that the leavers are pp who dont know the Game. Or people who know the Game well and think they have already lost.
If they leave eraly tier 1 it is a big advantage for the team who got the leaver. Cause the team get more sends, which leads to more xp and a higher level. Which is a really big advantage for tier 2.
But even then i think an autoban is not so good, cause there are not enough HLW PLayers out there. I think there are not more then 20 who play frequently. So if you would Ban the half of them there is no HLW anymore then

If you want to change something Imo it would be the best to kick Dark Lord out of the Heroes, cause he is the weakest with a lot of distance to the next one. But i guess you need to change the map for it and thats to difficult and to much work.

@snowcatter I like the ROC version best, the lite version feels hmm, a bit cheap lol. Or the version where you can customize heroes.

Disable autoban for ent59. (it is currently enabled)

Although I understand the reason for suggesting this, there are few problems with our existing players' stay/leave rate statistics which will impact autoban from onward, however, I guess mods can adjust/correct things as they review ban appeals. Will make a note and pm mods once implemented. Will see how things go.

The only one i want HLW disabled for is deluxe since it is single lane. Is ent59 deluxe? Idk since i dont play it. Lol
