Name: Charles
Age: 25
Game moderator specialty (see below for choices): Dota/Lod
Brief introduction: Hi, I'm a lifelong Dota player, its been 10 or so years now since I started playing - with various yearlong breaks like the one I just took, of course. Outside of that, I have a bachelors in English/History, I'm certified to teach EFL and ESL, and I was a swimmer throughout college. I'm currently only working part time, two jobs with short hours.
What are your current hours of playing time (approximate): It ranges really, but if I do play I play around 11am-3pm and/or 7pm to 12 am
What is your current time zone: EST
Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III: Was a mod here for over a year, became a red for a day or two, but mostly was green/blue. I'm very familiar with all the tools (DRM/FCD) and the actual banning process (making range bans, checking aliases, rules). I probably made hundreds of bans back then, along with having some thousands of posts (5000 maybe idk). Im very knowledgable about what constitutes a legit fog click, circumstantial maphack bans, etc.
Why do you want to become a game moderator: Help the dota community which is still going strong.
What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community: Experience, impartiality, fairness, efficiency.
Closing Statement: There seems to be a much larger number of mods these days, so if I'm not needed now thats cool too.
Stuff I've helped on since I've been back (some of it):

Hello Charles,
Although we did talk and I knew you were back and playing wc3, I did not expect you to apply back.
Considering your past commitments, I would vouch for you, regardless of the internal drama we had.
Can you elaborate your "why", why you want to be back in staff and help the community?
Also, do you realize you will be a blue if you do join?
We are always looking for more mods.

As to the first question, I am back to playing now and thus figure that I could help out to more quickly process appeals/requests while I wait for a game or friends afk. I find myself going through the ban requests anyways, old habits I suppose . Though I'm not really into chat or socializing on the forum, I have no real interest in drama and I probably processed close to or equal to as many total ban requests during my tenure as any mod ever has.
Also I do realize I will be a blue, that's perfectly fine with me. I didn't expect to reapply as a green.

Regarding efficiency/experience, I think older mods will have a better idea. However, I can see by your reviews that you know how to look for game ruiners quite easily. I would still have liked to see you invest some time in atleast one suspicious move ban request.
Regarding activity, I do see you quite often on forums, but I would have liked to see you on chat a bit more to ''socialize'' and get to know you. Because atm, I can't really say much about your personality.
I wish you good luck in your app and hope to see you in the team as we do need DotA mods, and experienced ones are even better. However, I can't support because as I said, I don't know enough about you and how you work at the moment.

Re: child (hak@useast)
Back when he was admin, he was one of the best, if not the best, on catching dota maphackers and dodgers, even without legit fogclicks. I don't remember any complaints against him from players, so I think hes gonna help a lot the community with his experience.

In terms of tools usage & knowledge, going through some of the recent brqs, it's clear you know what you're doing, and what to search for (In this case however you could have been more specific https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... 29#p298229 - 2 users were reported, yet you only gave your input on one of them - just a note for future cases);
Your activity is a bit random though, so i'm gonna ask you directly - Will you maintain a consistent activity on forum? Elaborate, thanks
Regarding chat - Well chat is not only used to socialize, but is also a tool used to provide help/support members, so i'd like to see you there sometimes =]

Re: child (hak@useast)
@hyo chat is just something i've never done. As for my activity, I took a year break (and had all of my posts on this account removed from recording) but now I am playing WC3 again. I can't be as active as I was before (I was doing 90% of all dota requests for months), but I would expect I could handle 2-3 requests + appeals per day.
Re: child (hak@useast)
I haven't seen you participate much on forums- I'd like to see an activity pick up, and more in the periods you are online so we can see your forum habits. Besides that, I recall a copious amount of drama when you were not only on staff, but a member of ENTGaming, as well. Would we be able to avoid this in the future?
We need more activity on BRQ's and Appeals- more input. I would recommend a longer period of seeing how you perform on forum, as this seems relatively out of the blue.

Approved.
@child You've always done good work, however, I strongly recommend sticking to our policies this time. If I cross abusive behavior again, you are out.
