So i've been thinking of something. We all know theres a lot of stacking going on in non-a-bal games and i have no problem with that, i do it myself when the players i like playing with is online. I've never been in an EM lobby so i cant speak for that area. But a-bal ap games takes like what... 20 minute average to fill? I believe many people stay away from a-bal because if they have 1700 elo they will surely a few bad teammates, unless the other team has a 1700 too ofc, but i rarely saw that when i played there and we all know ONE good player cant make up for possibly 4 feeders. Therefore people flee to non-a-bal games, where they stack and also pwn low elo players, because the low elo players are usually children that perhaps doesnt notice that all the good players are jumping on the same team. There are rare cases of a good 3-stack versus 3-stack + 2 randoms on each team for example, but... very rare. I call it the eat-or-be-eaten system. Tikitiboo! Here it comes!
So im suggesting that ENT makes a-bal games that has elo ranges. It could be divided into 5 ranges (brackets) for example. The number representing the elo range allowed within the game. 0-1000 - 1000-1200 - 1200-1500 - 1500-1800 - 1800-9999
This way there is a maximum for how bad teammates the high elo player can get on his team. It also ensures that the elo gain will be decent. - Only thing is... i dunno if you guys have the server capacity to set up 5 seperate lobbies that does it this way and also if there are enough players on ENT within the various elo ranges to even fill the lobbies within an acceptable waiting time.
Any twist suggestions, criticism or whatever is welcome in this thread.

Re: A-bal elo levels
The elo gain will always be decent. Wich mean, it balance the game. It try to always put it to 15 elo win for each side.
Having range will just fuck up the bot, ImO. We have HR bot. If you don't want to play with noob. Play in HR. 1150 elo and more only allowed in there.
You said it, A-Bal game already fill slowly, if we add this, people will be split away and there, will not enjoy a wait of 1-2 minute. After this most of people leave the game. Sadly. There's a topic about putting a number of X game player before being allowed to play on A-Bal game. You should take a look and tell what you think about it here.

Re: A-bal elo levels
theres way too few players to have multiple a-bal games that are split by elo levels.

Re: A-bal elo levels
Imo... many players with 1150 elo are still newbs. So clearly the only thing that prevents a system such as this from being implemented is the lack of players? Then i guess we'll just have to spread the word that ENT rocks.

Well, current level is 1150+ for HR games (which are also autobalanced), but 0 games of HR have been played so far. It used to be higher but we lowered it because of the inactivity.

Re: A-bal elo levels
I didnt know that the HR lobby was autobalanced. Ill try talking to the dudes i usually team with and some of the other stack crews. Could be fun if we got some high elo autobal games going. I wanna try to kill this trend of everyone stacking a bit, because really 80% of all non-autobalanced games is just pure "pubstomp" but at the same time im not willing to start always going on the "bad" team. Im just tired of nearly always seeing the opposite team having 2 leavers within 30 minutes. That cant be fun for anybody.

How about you guys rather than complaining about 'noobs' actually taught new players what to do. I mean we were all noobs at one time or the other, no one was born with dota skills.
Re: A-bal elo levels
Im also not here to hold everyones hand and teach them how to play... Unless that is if i get paid!

Re: A-bal elo levels
No one asks to have their hands held, just because you know how to play, mocking and flaming at a new player, does not improve your skills or theirs, just give them hints on items, if they do die a few times, ask them to try and stay with the team, there are some who deliberately feed while other are trying their best, so I would rather not let neanderthals like the one above me, leave them upset and not want to continue playing dota. Dota is competitive correct, but at the end of the day its a game. It should be played for fun, with a win being a plus point.
