so a few of us were talking about it i was thinking maybe we should have shorter seasons.
down to 2 months..... instead of 3.
im sure a lot of u notice that many players give up when they get toooo low and stop playing lihl
and stop all together to avoid getting lower, or vice versa other players when they hit TOP, they
stop playing to stay a TOP player just to be season winners instead of risking losing elo. kinda unfair imo.
any other opinions on this?

Re: shorter seasons
people should just man up, and keep playing instead. I have seen many instances, of players going from !bot, to !top, within a short period of time, so it is possible.

Re: shorter seasons
I think 3 months is the best time. Too long and people will lose interest (as shrimp said, many low and high Elo players rarely play, and a new season always adds fun and fresh motivation), make it too short and people won't really care about seasons anymore and thus they lose their positive effects.

ya man what im saying tho is thats its pretty much at that point where people are ready to start over, there's still a full month left and people are already sitting out games or just avoiding lihl in general cuz they're afraid of losing.

Re: shorter seasons
3 month is ok imo.
Within a certain time length, players play x number of games on avg and certain amount of games need to be played for elo or one's rating to be considered solid.
2 months seem to be too short and I doubt we will be handing out prizes every 2 month to an individual.
If players become "discouraged" just because they are 800 elo...I would like to point out that it is not too hard to jump back up based on current team arrangement autobalance. If you are low elo, you will likely be placed with higher elo people.
Going off-topic, for next season, I think random shuffle teams and 15/15 elo would be nice.

Imo that sounds really nice. As far as i see it, it would make elo show skill lvl better than atm
