Overall I think both systems are fine. Like i wrote above, i think this is a good thing to try, as elos will most likely end up more correct with this system, and like I wrote above, people with lower elo will be forced to make some more decisions during game, hopefully that will increase the overall skill of players in the league, rather than as it is right now, 1 or 2 players will always make all calls in all games.
Negative factors = less balanced games
Positive factors = Better players win more often(more correct elos), lower elo players will be forced to learn more about calls.
I voted for keeping the current system, its to early to decide whetever its better or worse...I think there´s more positive effects than negative in the long run, and there´s the possiblitity for players in game to balance the elos if all agrees and they want to do that.

Re: New Match Making?
There already was a poll about if we wanted to try the new system, a close majority voted 'yes', (https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... 83#p285583) so I don't know why we need another poll now. Maybe after a month or something when everybody has played with it and familiarized with it, and it turns out it is a bad system we can always change again. Let's just give it a try, it's no huge thing, there are advantages and disadvantages like the balance system too. Just open your mind for a few weeks and give a fair opinion after that.
You don't stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing.

Re: New Match Making?
As, mick stated, there was a poll already. Too early to decide whether to label this system as a "fail".
I have already stated in the past that I will implement this and run a trial season or for some time. If you are not aware or up to date with the topics, that is not my problem. Go read the archives. Poll has been removed.
A team of better players will have a higher chance of wining, but so what? Are you saying that the average lower level players cannot win against a perhaps stacked team? Well dam me, this is a league. Play and get better. All should have the foundation ltd skills and knowledge to win. I believe under this system, people will have more opportunity to play with EVERYONE on their team and we will be able to see actual "skill" difference more clearly instead of few getting kinda carried always. Elo is 15/15, so both sides will not lose motivation to play any team setups.
Skimming through, someone mentioned that on the previous system, bad players were arranged to play with good players...however, I disagree. This is only true when everyone plays many games and are active, so elo rating actually solidifies and represents your skill more accurately. I have seen decent good players often having 700-900 elo and being arranged to play with players with 1200+ elo. I could argue that previous system also stacks teams.
Best way to exploit wins was to naturally play with high elo players while you have low elo and play with lower elo players who are suppose to be good while you have decent elo. Meaning, if you chose when to play based on people signing, you could potentially have a high winning rate if you were picky with what games you play.
The actual "skill" factor is not that large in Legion TD compared to games like dota or some others imo. I believe avg lower ranked players have plenty of chance to play a good game under this system.
All in all, still immature to conclude anything. We shall discuss again at a later time.

Re: New Match Making?
I was hesitant at first about the change, but I think we should try this out for a few weeks first at least before switching back if that is what we decide to do. This game has a HUGE luck factor, as in rolls, immo, split sends etc so this new element of the game like the mods have said will force players to improve or fall to the bottom. I think too many players just sit in games dont say a single word and just obediently follow and thus they stagnate in terms of skill.

Correct if the league is run with the "law of the jungle" If 8 gladiators are thrown into an arena, 4 of them kids, 4 of them fully grown trained warriors, the most "correct" thing would be that the veterans had a huge advantage. In terms of an overall fair game, splitting up weak / strong fighters would make for a more even game for players and spectators alike.
I mean sure keep the system in place for now, but pretty much any other game with competitive matchmaking in the world has chosen the former system, in my opinion for good reasons

Re: New Match Making?
You seem to compare lihl autobalance to matchmaking system for newer platform games...please...they are totally not the same in terms of calculation, factors, and accuracy.
