could we standardize the ss-test procedure:
like: ss-test needs to be requested "live" by a mod wisping all in game, and who instantly can have a look on the screen-shots?
since today ss was requested by a non mod-in game who was asked from a mod to demand ss-test while he's not even online.
we had like 10 or more minutes drama in game, noone knew which ss-tests were done... all sent to different mods (1 to nabo 1 to donky (who was in game himself, and the rest to archol who requested and didnt even had a look at it at this point)
was rly annoying.... i request mod to coordinate ss-test, so game is not interrupted for more time as really necessary

Re: standardize ss-test procedure
That can't be the case if all actually follow the procedure accordingly. Per guide, the screenshot has to be sent via forum pm with the LIHL group as recipient. Which means: all mods get the pm.Drawkward wrote:all sent to different mods

Re: standardize ss-test procedure
I think what he is asking is that the SS test procedure can only be requested if the mod that wants it is online at the time to assist users, which I fully support. Archol told Rolders the next game he plays to ask SS test at level 4, which was the case for this scenario.

Re: standardize ss-test procedure
I can confirm that i told Rolders to pause a future game, yet in the guide its not mentioned that i have to be ingame to do that and neither understand why i have to be online to ask for a screenshot test - in the end its only checking the screenshots (outside the game)
Though i understand the issue regarding sending to all LIHL mods is not a good idea, when they are in the same game either - therefore there should be a rule change

Once a player is accepted as moderator, trust should follow. If there is no trust towards a certain moderator, then that moderators status should be re-thought. Simple as that imo.

Re: standardize ss-test procedure
i requested to not sending to lihl mod since i was in game, and could also open a ennemy ss , for no doubt better to send it to another mod.

trust in his moderating skill is one thing, another to send him free ghost and be like "don't look, i'm sending you my towers".

Re: standardize ss-test procedure
I also think there wont be any issues. Though we had former mods who did cheat (maphack etc.), and to avoid unpleasant situations in the future (for example accusing them to check the screenshots, although they didnt) it might be safer not to send to all LIHL mods, except they are not ingame or observer.

What if no mods were in the game? That's the real issue. Would be best to restrict asking SS test for when the mod is online to assist and process the screen shots.

Im not understanding it, the screenshots will be checked anyways. I do think that people should know how to take screenshots and forward them to a mod, even new applying players have to know it - if you mean that.
If they are not able to do it, there should be enough players in game / guides in forum where its exactly explained . Even if you cant do it that way, Gog-Magog for example used his mobile phone to record / screenshot it.
Regarding Rolders, i told him that he should do it, so he had his legitimisation to ask for a screenshot test - if thats the problem. Though if someone has the feeling that someone is hacking, they can always request a screenshot-test (explained in the guide)
