+ This system is decent imo, making a larger gap between bot and top list, is good since it force low elo players to try hard and improve more than last system.

- The current one is not a elo system but a w/l rate, and elo is keeping just to adjust 'dc pen', nothing else.
imo no problems with w/l rate system but better find a way to include 'dc pen' matter without elo pen, and delete elo .

Imagine the bottom 20 % of players all got fed up and stopped playing. That would mean way less activity especially considering that the best players are not always the most active. I'm not saying that that's what's gonna happen, but not taking the entire player pool into account when chosing a system, is the real "strange" thing in my opinion.

Before I might say anything to this discussion, I have a stupid question:
When teams are formed in lihl, is it random, or is it made balanced? I never look at !scores in lihl, so I don't know.

@Jamo

In all previous seasons, games were made as close to 15/15 as possible. Now the games are shuffled teams, not accounting ELO into match making.

Current system = 2 higher elo in diferent teams (one on east other on west red/yellow), rest of players are placed randomly,
it's looks like a captain mode with 2higher elo and rest random.

Don, all players are random. The two highest ELO aren't programmed to go on different teams. The highest ELO are just placed at the red/yellow spots. There have been many games in 3s with the 3 high ELO vs the 3 low.

And come back Sharmutha! I can't be the only can't break player in LIHL. :D

Thanks for your replies @king23 and @Don_Killuminati

Before this season, I voted for this 15/15 elo system, and I think 15/15 elo games is not the problem with this system.
The problem is, that teams have to be autbalanced.Ofc if now a 26/4 elo game is transformed in a 15/15 elo game it doesn't make any sense. 4 good players vs 4 lower players, that's simply nonsense.
So, if teams are not just random, but autobalanced then it's close to 15/15 elo games anyhow and it doesn't make much difference. And like already pointed out, the current system is even more spreading top and bottom players apart so it is of course even MORE important, to have autobalanced teams!

Oh in my memory it was 2higher elo different teams, so nvm what i said.
hmm imo low elo players and players who don't make calls get a little disavantage since east team can be compound of self tk players without any leaders,
so like avada said, current system promotes inequality imo.

Well, personally I do really prefer this current system, with random teams. However, as players here already been talking about, its goes alittle bit into activity is worth just as much as win/loss %, if you have 52% winrate with 100 games in a season you end up lower than a player with 51% winrate and 250 games.
That means the top of the league will not be the player who wins a highest % of his games. Which means the best players might not be at the top of ranks at end of seasons.
However, on another side of this, Random teams will give a better look on which players are better at adepting to playing with alot of random players. Overall this system will give more random games, where top/bot players does Not have to be carried or carry every game they play, you will not be "punished" because you have high elo, and you will not benefit by being low elo.

For me, the random teams is a Positive change.

Positives:

Random teams, means players will have to adept to playing with more different players than normally, espically top/bot players which usually gets mixed with balanced teams
No benefit/punishment for getting high/low elo.
More players will get to lead, as there wont be a "clear" leader in each team in most of the games, that will give more room for players to get better.

Negatives:

Activity decides just as much as skill how high/low a player gets at end of season

Possible changes?

Only way to get rid of the negative activity part, to make the players with the best stats to get ranked highest, would be to change the ranking system to % of wins
That means the random team system stays, but instead of elo, it would be shown how many % of your games you win.

However ,if this change was made, there would need to be another rule, forcing players to play X ammount of games to be part of the end of season rankings, mainly to stop players from, for example playing 10 games and have 8/2 stats then stop playing with a 80% winrate to win a season.

But once again. Random teams is not a negative thing, it means players with less skill will loose more games, and players with higher skill will win more games. Instead of pretty much everyone staying beetween 45-55% winrate because they get teamed up with better or worse players nonstop.

last month i played with only king23,ship_,lord_miles
i have no prblem play with them
but sometimg boring( play with same people)
i want play with diffrent ppl each evert game
so i 100% support this system

ps. one day if you guys hit #1 or 2~5
you will understand me

Brave and 1007 basically sum up the changes.

- Everyone gets to play with everyone equally often (relative to the amount of games they are both in), so also #1 and #2 etc can play together regularly, which would almost never happen with balanced games (same with bottom players ofc). So it increases diversity and to some degree fun (as 1007 says, having some people almost always in your team if they sign can get a bit boring).

- The Elo will differ more with top players having more Elo and bot players having less Elo than with balanced games as they aren't "dragged to the mean".

- Activity will have a bigger influence on your Elo (as your win % is not dragged to the mean), theoretically someone with constant 51% win rate could also win the season if he just plays non stop.

- Games, of course, are less balanced on average.

Is the new system good? I don't know, it is different and a welcome change in my opinion, but it is not really better nor worse I think.

I said it was w/l rates but it's wrong, it's the difference w-l.
I see most games red and yellow higher elo, i think it's better than a full random, which can make a team with all bottom players = ppl give up already or issue with leads.
Imo the way that it force low skill players to improve is good, but should not be like all lihl players get same skill lvls or it will make inequality.
