Let's start a tournament

Hey guys,

we should start a Legion TD Tournament. I see dozens of games everyday, and LTD has a huge pontential regarding players, therefore tournaments aswell. I don't know why this page has no active Tour-Community for LTD, because I even see the one or antother post in this forum. I googled nearly everything, and found no tournaments hosted from other clans or pages, therefore I want to take the initiative and try to start one, with your help.

I have some ideas, especially doing it gather like. That means that there are not just fixed teams from the beginning, but players can find each others and create teams for the tournament. I have some other idea, but first I want to check out if there is any activity ongoing here. If some people and the Clan ENT work together, for example by linking the tournament with the hosting bots, we could create something for the future, because there are lots of LTD players, but no tournament hosters.

Ahhh.. those tournaments earlyer realised here were with money? I can't offer that. The thing is, that a competitive atmosphere without money would attract the one or another player, definitely. This is the same with all the LoL or SC2 games going on. People want to see their names on pages, thats all there is. If you start small with only 4 teams a week its a start. I dont know if ENT hast a system or something for tournaments, like a page or so. People would definitely play.

Play HR mode? High Ranked, elo stats recording, all this is to put a challenge atmosphere..

Tournement is with a win prize at the end, well like any, and in plus, on the forum, you get a special thanks by having your name in 'gold'. Gold is the group of Champion : winner of a tournement. Still we can maybe give something else as prices.

Like idk, life time queue skip for second place. and for the 1st A bot with autohost for your clan (that you can set). If this can interest you, or having an idea of prize other then money that can interest user, tell it

Hey, sorry for my late post. I don't think of any monetary prize money. I already know your ELO rankings and this is a nice idea, although some people take it, unfortunately, too serious and start to cheat. But back to the prize money. I think there is no prize money needed. I mean, look at the ELO ranking system, there is also no prize money included, but it attracts players simply by the fact than it creats a competitive environment. This motivates players. If you're somehow able to do so in tournaments as well, this will attract players and therefore activity, too. You're idea with the forum banner for example. Some other ideas:

1. Names shown per bot in every ENT or HR game who won the game.
2. Somehow showing it on the page

I mean, the thing is that you don't need to have 1000 players at the beginning of some kind of tournament tour. If you find, damn, 4 teams who battle themselves, it's a start. You know I've been to the eSport scene a long time and every tournament started with something like that, with no monetary prize. If the people who are responsible for the tours need any help or something, just contact me somehow or if anyone is interested to start something like that. I've seen other forums and webpages, too, maybe we could cooperate or something!

@cyber: Well, that is fine. Thats reason enough for ppl to play a tournament, even without prize money!
@heal: If there is such charge, I think nobody will enter.. really nobody!
