[LOD] Jokul us.west.net

Postby Malakthon » Wed Apr 06, 2016 3:10 am

Replay Link: http://storage.entgaming.net/replay/vie ... 525629.w3g
Game Name: [ENT] LoD -sdems6bod2 #88
Your Warcraft III Username: Edhelvar
Violator's Warcraft III Username: Jokul
Violated Rule(s): glitch abuse
Time of Violation (in-game or replay): whole game
Any further thoughts:

I understand that "whole game" as a time of violation is not acceptable, but Jokul abused of a new glitch in LoD using False Promise and Frost Wyrm's heal (I don't remember the spell name). False Promise is supposed to remove any bad status from the hero and doubles the healing points received, as well as the damage received. On the other hand, Wyrm's heal heals you for a certain period for a percentage of your health and stunning you. Using False Promise and then Wyrm's shield made him do whatever he wanted, without a way to stopping him (can't be stunned nor receive physical damage, since heal also gives you invulnerability from phys dmg).

IMO, glitch abusing is considered when you take advantage of certain combo of spells which can't be easily countered (such as deathpacting tombstone zombies or rearm + flame guard). This could be considered as a new glitch. Please take time to think about this. Thank you!

@Malakthon i don't think thats a glitch abuse , because if you read false promise and Wyrms shield you will know what these skills doing.

What makes you thinking thats abuse ?

It's pretty bs. Youre not supposed to be able to move with cold embrace.

This guy may be exploiting but it wasnt against the set rules.

Honestly nothing should come of this, if its glitch abuse only a warning should be applied because of jimmys words, "not against the set rules" atm.

@Lord-Miles Does that mean that if I find any other glitch I'll be able to use as well? (read glitch as OP spell combo)

Thinking of that way, rearm + flameguard and deathpacting tombstone zombies also have counters, but those are still bannable...

Miles, I think that it was an abuse because even though you hit him, he'll heal way faster than you can. Nothing that you dou will actually break that combo, he'll just become immortal for some seconds.

Wyvern heal is considered as a debuff/disable I guess. So, works as intended. Not bug abuse.

6.84
False Promise
1. No longer makes the target invisible.
2. Now continuously removes debuffs and disables, instead of only when first cast.
3. Reduced duration from 7/8/9 to 6/7/8.
4. Increased cooldown from 20 to 80/60/40.

youre not supposed to move and attack when embrace
its simple logic

its a combination that ruins game
and it should be disabled

like rearm wards roc and reinc etc

Yes but false promise REMOVES 'Debuffs and Disables' which is why only the healing side of it works when used in FP.

Well I tried this combo yesterday and lost.

First of all, this combo is supposed to work with carry but too mana costly. Secondly, easy to counter - you simply blink away and fight later or build a tank. IMO regardless whether it's a glitch or not (clearly it's not as already explained above), it's not game breaking. So either way it's not supposed to be bannable.

As burnt says it doesn't appear to be game breaking, and it's not actually a glitch since debuffs are intended to remove positive/negative lasting effects.
