Been busy with real life. If you ask me, the problem is the players themselves. The only report that should every occur in lihl is a dc report. Anything such as tk, rage, no heal, suicide, feed, etc, etc should not exist in the league. These players should be removed from the league. If they cannot follow the simple rules/guidelines of the league, they have no place here.
Over my time in ENT, i have seen reports from suicide tk, no heal, rage, selling all towers, ignoring your teammates before mode is even put in. The players who do these things are the problem.
Then you have the leader
hadora wrote:-Self proclaimled one, obviously lacking of legitimity. Most of those leaders are agressive, disrepectful and killing the fun.
The one that comes to mind is ace_of_spades, talking so much bs that it forces the rest of the team to agree with him just so he shuts up. Then the one person on the team that wants to actually make a legitimate call opposing him, he is shut down by the rest of the team because they don't want to hear him bs. He is the first that comes to mind when it comes to this type of leader. There are others, but i have not been able to play and unable to name other players.
Another problem is the old school lihl players. They expect to much and claim "i've been here x amount longer than you so your opinion means squat to me" type of attitude. These people, i hate to say, would be fiji (probably not active) eldryan, sexyy (inactive), and probably more people of the old.
There are a few people who I actually admire in this league. They admit their short fallings, don't really care if other people have them as well, and want to have fun in the league: krayzie, nore, dong, tin, and probably a few others that i can't name of the top of my head.
Then you have the forum whores. Those who only come out of the woods when there is a specific topic about a specific person. People like artichoke who can only ever make a comment about shrimp and nothing else. To be honest, i have nothing against shrimp. Then there are those like sexyy who thinks that they know everything when it's clear they do not. And there are people who just comment to troll and try to get people to side with them over any issue when it is clear they are in the wrong. Then go on a rant about how bad the mods are.
Then you have people like tastay and others, who when people get banned for breaking the rules, blame moderators for doing their job. Don't break rules, you don't get banned. The less rules broken, the more players and games to be played. Something to tell the ignorant: It is not the mods fault that you get banned. You only have yourself to blame.
Then people go on about unvouches. Saying "its impossible to get someone unvouched" well its not. It just takes a lot of YOUR time to gather the games, replays, and facts/descriptions. It is not up to the moderator to do this for you. Do it yourself. If you think 4-5 games out of 100 is enough to get someone unvouched, you are clearly wrong. It would take quite a number of games, quite a number of different people reporting them. If a player wants someone unvouched for their skills, get an adequate amount of information, analyze it, comment on it, and explain to the moderators why they should be unvouched. It's not hard, just time consuming. If what you have is enough then the mods will look further and gather more.
Then you have those who say "you can't just unvouch the bottom 5 of the league." This was said way back when by someone because a player who was considered one of the best was in the bottom 5 of a season. I can't remember who it was or when it was, but it was a while ago. Yes, just unvouching the bottom 5 of the league is wrong. What should be done is unvouching the inactives and those who have 2 reports or more for rule breaks other than dc where a warning wasn't enough that they did it again and got banned. These players are the ones that need to be re-evaluated, not the bottom 5. I'd rather play with the worst of lihl then play with someone who is known for breaking rules and ruining the game.
One of the main issues that i've come across is swapping. Swapping causes the most drama. One player doesn't want to have swaps but the swaps go through anyways. Such was the issue where shrimp was unvouched. His behavior was unacceptable but so was the swap. Swapping should not be allowed in non-challenge signed game. What the teams are, is what you get. No ands, ifs, or buts about it. don't like your team? grow some balls and get over it, if you are a lady, (i am at a loss for a metaphor here for you, sorry) get over it as well.
Overall it is not just one thing that is the problem. It is a multiple of issues. Forum warriors, in-game keyboard warriors, rages, game ruiners, mod blamers, swappers, etc. What needs to change is the players attitudes. We players need to stop breaking rules, stop flaming and raging, stop forcing a leader role you aren't suited for, stop blaming the mods for doing their jobs. Just shut up about drama, if you have a problem with someone, just shut up, grind your teeth, don't ruin the game and afterwards, PM them on the forum POLITELY, without rage and explain to them what they did wrong that upset you with a moderator tagged in the PM to give them a heads up that the player is being toxic. No need to make a public thread that embarrasses yourself because you can't handle an online game. I'm pretty sure a day or two after, you will probably forget what happened, and do the same thing to someone else.
