Corruption of Ent Admin

Let me first start off by saying, I am sorry for the racist "Jokes" i have used with friends or against complete noobs. I know this is immature behavior, and I am trying to tone it down. Second off, I love the ent gaming community, many friends, and good games.

This is not a topic to rage at admins, but Palsgraf has had a run in with me before, and i assure you it was from getting owned in Dota,from what i recall. I know most of the admins are fair and just, and are good players, in both dota and regular games. But making a ban request, and processing it before I can reply, or even defend myself, seems quite biased and a bit childish. Thank you for your support Ent and fellow gamers.

First off, he*The admin* should post only mh bans requests.
Second, if you are banned you should make an appeal
Third, if you are not happy with your ban to make a complaint, please link the game/replay using the stats page.

He means that the only ban request I have to leave up for confirmation are map hack ban requests. All other rule violations can be processed without confirmation from a second admin.

Question to you pals.
Why you're posting bans requests when you're admin? So if I ban a guy for excessive afk, should I post a ban request? Looks like a spam to me. We*admins* must post bans in that section if the guy is a mher, I don't think you banned him for mh.

Also, why you waited so long to ban him when you would make a ban request before like everyone else, why you just posted it today? The game happened 6 days ago, looks like revenge to me

To answer your first question, I thought it was a requirement to post a ban request when banning anyone, that way we have an "electronic" paper trail, so to speak. It keeps the ban process transparent. Am I wrong about that policy?

As to your second question, I stumbled upon his racist remarks when reviewing a ban request for someone else. I thought to make a ban request, and then had my mod privileges suspended. So I waited. And as I waited, I found more and more raging and racism.

It may be true that the complainant "owned" me in a game -- quite frankly I do not remember. I have been "owned" by many people in many games - and yet none of them were banned for "owning" me.

I make ban requests so there is a record of the rule violation. And in this case, multiple rules were violated multiple times in multiple games.

Unless the reason fully includes all evidence needed for ban, you should post ban request, like for replay and such.

If a moderator continuously makes bad judgements, then they won't be a moderator anymore. However, this ban has been reviewed by several other staff members now (due to the complaint) and has been upheld.

Staff members are not voted by players; this isn't a democarcy. So this argument isn't really relevant.

He could have been wrong, but he wasn't (seeing as how ban was upheld by other staff). Again, if he lets whatever bias get in the way of making a good request repeatedly, then he'll be removed from moderator, but this simply isn't the case.

If you want you can post a ban appeal, but the ban request and duration are reasonable given the circumstances (that said, it's still possible that appealing can shorten or remove the ban).

Anyways, with the exception of bans for leavers in custom games, before you ban (unless banning in-game; in that case, do this immediately after the game) you should make a post in the Processed Ban Requests forum section; you should then link to this post in the reason field of the ban.

Because we want to have evidence. We changed so that we said if the ban length is like two days or something then you don't have to include processed ban request, although still only depending on the situation (whether you need evidence and such).
