Random teams or VB?

Hello all,

I want a further clarification based on a situation i have recently had.

Owner wants vb but there is a player that didnt want vb at all (me). Owner does not start game forcing vb. I said i didnt accept any vb or swaps. About this scenario (quite common) some questions:

1) how much time the owner can enforce a non start game once all 8 players are ready?
2) Can i leave the game once it has been started if i didnt agree the vb?

Just want to know, because last season i asked the same question and i was replied that ANY swap (including VB) cannot be done until all members accept it. May I leave the game without punishment if the game has been swapped without my ok? Or how is it supposed to be threated this issue?

Waiting for a clear clarification on this issue. I just dont want vb games if i dont want it, i have that right no?

Well, you can for sure report the owner, for not starting the game in cuz he wants to force vb. You arent allowed to leave the game i would say, but actually players MUST draw if it started with you disagree to swap. All which dont draw + which vote vb + owner especially (for refusing to start before vb) should get some punishment then.

Played a game last nigh i asked owner to go and not let vb pass , but nothing.

Why we got that system then since all games goes on vb ? If some 1 not agree there should be draw or something like that.

yea u can refuse vb. but there is abuse because vb is not setup the way it supposed to be, all players need to vb for it to pass, which is not the case right now.

i don't really understand vb. imo, swaps and vb should be taken out of owner power. it's just nn.

I think having swaps is totally fine to fill up games etc. But this vb stuff really annoys me as well. Everybody does it, even now, at beginning of season where all games are basically 15/15 and random teams really are what literally everybody liked in the poll some months ago. imo vb should be adapted such, that everybody has to vote for it. How many votes are needed now, 5?
Actually, people being in Eld's team also abuse this by trying to force vb and then, maybe, not ending up in his team (just fyi).

Maybe one could also turn off showing the elo change when "!scores" is typed. Just show the elo of the teams and that's it. People totally freak out about this, even when it's 14/16, which in the actual elo function maybe is something like 14.5/15.5... and to vb then... really, I don't get this...

Yes, people here are right. The mode is random teams, that means it is this unless ALL players agree to do something else. As soon as one person says they don't agree random teams have to be played. If the game starts somehow votebalanced because people already did it or something, try to draw the game. If people still don't draw they will get an unvouch. Obviously, you can't just leave if it happens. Play the game out and report it like any other rule violation.

I think if this would actually be enforced, this will lead to a lot of hate. Not possible to modify the vb command to only pass with 8 votes?

Imo it should be easy but as soon as I saw that I noticed that it could be easily abused by just starting a 2's, swap in 4 more players and voila you only need 4 votes to vb the former 2's that turned into a 4's.

But I guess if you just make it 8 for 4's, 6 for 3's, and 4 for 2's and punish hard on the rule that everyone has to agree to something it should not be a problem with the votebalance.

If you swap in, there is no "random team" anyway, since you swapped people into a team manualy ^^ so it doesnt matter to have vb on 4 here tbh ... If you dont want it, just dont agree to swap in of other players.

Yeah that's true. But as I said it could still be abused though the chance is slim.

1 year ban to those who abuse !votebalance, and the owners that refuse to listen to the players that within their rights disagree to votebalancing.

This way people will stop doing it, or take a 1 year unvouch. Problem solved.

I won't force people to VB but if people disagree and the vote still passes then the fault is not with the players unless of course the owner purposely delays starting the game.
