[DOTA] midnightsun@useast.battle.net

Postby olddaysdota » Sat Aug 13, 2016 10:27 pm

Replay Link: http://www.filedropper.com/midnightmh
Game Name: [ENT] DotA apem us/ca #22
Your Warcraft III Username: olddaysdota
Violator's Warcraft III Username: midnightsun
Violated Rule(s): I trully think it was maphack
Time of Violation (in-game or replay): around 33:40 to 33:54, is better to watch the walkpath.
Any further thoughts: No sight from trall being lothar in tower, he used dust perfectly knowing where he was. If you look replay from his point of view its clear that he could have no idea a hero was here. Less on min 33:52 in a random situation.

Are there any more timestamps of suspicious activity?
Let's just play nice.

No, but that ocassion is enough. An experienced mher would not expose himself. Put the replay in 8x and go 1x in min 33:40, you will see how funny it is.

I actually tried to help this noob, but he still insists on not reading. So I'm done. You explain it to him.

@olddaysdota even if he was maphacking that would not be enough. One random dust, though suspicious, is never enough, because sometimes random dusts are just that, random and lucky. So to convict someone of maphack we need far more evidence. In this case, mortred has an ability called blur, which shows up as an icon on her hero square. When another hero has vision of her that icon disappears . So if the icon suddenly disappears, and there is nobody visible to mortred, then she knows there is an invisible hero lurking. At this time stamp, it was pretty reasonable to think the lurking hero was near his tower, so when mortred's icon disappeared, she walked up to the tower and dusted.
denied.
