Re: PLEASE
@divinerape
1. Dont spam
2. Search the suggestion archive for this, it got denied already a few times.
3. When you make a suggestion maybe invest a little more time to explain why its a good thing to do.
4. If people get their ELO from te mega bot and then play on the 1200+ or 1300+ XXXX+ Bot... whatever... they need time to adjust to the 1200+ meta and the way to play. A higher elo limit just reduces the player base and wont improve the skill.

Sorry, DOTA is what I mean.
Also, I wasn't trying to spam, I accidentally hit "reply with quote" instead of "edit", did not see an option to remove post.
Re: PLEASE

@Hazardous Do you see this differently? The only compromise I could agree on is to remove the dota bot with the lowest player base and change it to a +elo bot with the mode of the biggest player base.

Nobody is going to argue the former, but there's just no way removing the bad apples won't improve skill level. You can say it won't work, you can say it's not worth it, but you can't say preventing the worst players from joining won't make the average joiner and the teams made out of them better.
Let's say you want to organize a foot race. But there's a twist: you'll only allow countries to select their very best sprinters, but only if they have reached or surpassed a specific qualifying standard because you only want the very best. You can then call that race something like the 100 meters event of the Summer Olympic Games or whatever and award the best performing contenders circular objects composed of different metals that each represent a position in the race's results. Just go wild, it's your race, you make the damn rules. If they don't like it, they can all sprint the fuck out and eat shit and die for all anyone cares, right?
Anyway, wouldn't that improve the skill level?

Re: PLEASE
I don't mind giving it a try, but I will be waiting for more support.
So far, we've more comments from LoD players than DotA players.. I only see Larz and divinerape supporting.

Re: PLEASE
Thanks for at least considering it. Hopefully we can get some more support, I know for a fact many people feel this way, I am just unsure if most of them even know that this forum exists.

Re: PLEASE
Not perfectly the best idea because there are 900 elos who can stomp 1300 elos.
Really it is fine the way it is. The issue is that the hero synergies on teams will ruin a game even if they are all decent. It would be nice to have a bot that hosts -CM DotA games though for sure.

Those who do not seek will not find.
