Why are you banned: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=105753
Why you should be unbanned: Afked after I left game lobby + alt/tabbed same time, didn't leave the lobby apparently and game started while I was afk. Considering the game never actually started, don't consider it gaming ruining. Afks should be handled by autoban, not 3-day game-ruin bans.

Re: afk ban
@eldryan first of all afk is different from autoban. Secondly autoban for ltd is still 2 days. You by afking prevented the game from starting as it should therefore it is a game ruining behaviour

Re: afk ban
I didn't prevent the game from starting, as there weren't enough players without me there. this was like 3 days ago on new years eve, no1 was joining... the game didn't start until 10 minutes later without me there. it would've been faster to wait for me: http://storage.entgaming.net/replay/dow ... 820938.txt
players can draw and remk in about 1 minute flat - without the game conditions being affected (thus afkers don't ruin or even affect the game, beyond a 1 minute delay). if 1 minute of delay is bannable, then lag where you can't drop because of grpxoy should result in 3 day bans, right?

@eldryan
This is the rule: Do not go away from keyboard for an excessive amount of time, especially without telling other players beforehand,
People with gproxy are at the computers in the game focusing on the game. They are not doing something else as you were.
Please make sure that you actually left the lobby before you move on to something else. As this ruins the game that was started and sometimes when it takes a long time for games to start wastes a lot of time for the seven other people in there with you.

Re: afk ban
@eldryan if you look at the duration of the game you can see they waited 5 mins for you to come back yet you never did. This means the game was prevented from playing due to your absence. They talked about remaking but as you said, no one was on at that time so they needed you to join regardless.

this rule applies to once the game has begun. you can't tell other players if there aren't any other players in the lobby, and the game hasn't started, obviously.

the game was prevented from playing because it didn't have enough players, not because I was afk - me being afk is the same as you being afk and not joining, in terms of preventing a game from starting.
since it clearly wasn't game-ruining (in fact, because you banned everyone, there have been no games today) I think the ban should be removed and, if you are really concerned, a rule should be made regarding early game afking. It clearly isn't game-ruining, however.

Yep same thing happened to me i left while i was waiting in the lobby and alt tabbed to fast so it got me stuck in game and was kicked for afk. definitely not game ruining just a bug in WC
Re: afk ban
@eldryan If you intend to go afk, simply leave the lobby and rejoin once you're back - Afking in lobby, resulting in ingame afk, is bannable (Your pre-ingame afk resulted in you being afk once game started, which made 7 other players waste their time, waiting for you - Yes they did draw, but your rule violation is not less bad due to it), so claiming it isn't game ruining, is not correct + this has happened last year as well: viewtopic.php?t=78780 (exactly the same case)
I won't ask you to post the rules (since you're an old player here, im sure you are more than aware of them), so can we trust that you will pay more attention in the future, and avoid these situations?
Yes, i know you don't afk purposely, since you're also ruining it for you (besides the ban for afk, you might end up losing elo if they dont draw, and ur team loses, for example), but you going afk, early or late game, is bannable, and therefore you should pay more attention in the future, to avoid it.
Thanks in advance

I don't afk in game, excepting emergencies.
Anyways, the game wasn't going on when I was there. Of course no one should afk once the game is started, my point isn't that afks are amazing and should be encouraged. The point is regarding afk as not game-ruining and the ban time should be set via autoban or some similar punishment that scales due to stay-rate.

You can post a suggestion regarding this (even if i personally doubt, this will be the case/or implemented)
