Postpone

Heya,

there are only 4 teams signed yet. Could we postpone this tournament since the day is rly unlucky with easter days. I would love to play but i cant like many others too.

Yeah, when I filled it in I did not realize it was Easter and I was planning to postpone if we do not have at least 8 teams signed. I will wait until this weekend to make a decision on that, will see if the sign-ups come or not.

I'm ready to sign-up my team, it's quite possible to attend the tourney on the 15th and 16th. But i think the whole thing will be a bit forced.
Personally for me, it doesn't feel right, since Easter is one of most important celebrations in the christian calendar. I'm not so religious myself, but after all it's not about that. We're all gamers here and love playing those maps but we must set some important values as a society. I don't want to extend this topic that much, i just think that making the tourney 1 week later is the better choice. A lot more players will be available and i'm from my expirience tourneys with more teams are better.

Okay, given the replies here and also online I am planning to postpone the tournament, with the new dates 22+23 april.

I would like to know if there are any problems for this in any of the teams signed, because I don't want you to miss out because of that. So if any team has problems with this new date, let me know. The new date will be definitive on friday night.

It's definitely easier for me to find a team for the new date. Seems like everyone is busy on eastern^^

Does it have to be on sat nights? why not do it on a Sunday when people aren't socializing?

Seeing it is only 2 players who have contacted me that postponing the tournament will be a problem for them, the date for the tournament will be definitively be moved to 22 + 23 april ( @art)y ).

@Kirim , the tournament needs to be over two days, because if we would do it in one day, the players in the final would have to be here for about 10 hours, with one team having a break of about 3 hours inbetween. Also any working day is pretty much impossible, since it will always be on working hours for someone in the world, so saturday + sunday is pretty much the only option.
