Maybe It would be more appropriate to ask this on Blizzard's forum however they'd probably take more time to reply or reply at all so I hope you can provide me a solution to the following error message while trying to auto update through W3 Launcher.
I closed 3rd party programs, killed some processes, disabled firewall, added exe file and launcher to firewall and malwarebytes exception list, my internet connection is fine. I tried searching for direct download through Blizzard's patching classic games but it downloads only 1.27b. Also tried opening http://ftp.blizzard.com/ but the access is forbidden. I can download old patches through ftp but not latest one, tried changing url from War3TFT_127b_English.exe to 128 but I keep getting Not Found message, if you can find a solution please do reply, thank you!

It's never easy like that, but I found a solution and it worked. For anyone else having this issue or similar try following these instructions.

Download the 1.27b from Blizzard. After that, just update to 1.28b by clicking on Battle.net (in the client) - this solved my problem which you have right now.
