auto tele to mid on 31 without reaching portal

Hi i had a game with opponents 1x cross, 1x merge that went to 31. Instead of getting stuck in their lane as they were still walking back to the portal, they auto teleported to mid. We were sure we were going to win 31 as we had 1x merge, 2x solo, however due to this we lost. Doesn't this just make merge and cross even stronger then they already were?

Idk if this is intented now ? If so its silly, indeed.

But this bug occured years ago already from time to time. So its a very old/rare thing.

its not a bug and been like that since 3.41 maybe even before.
as soon both teams cleared all creeps all remaining fighter port into the middle. this really just applies if there are 0 creeps on each side left
