Island Defense statistics

Currently, your Island Defense stats (!islandstats or !is) will show:

  • Total ID games played
  • Games played as builder
  • Games played as titan
  • Wins
  • Losses
  • Kills as builder, and average over builder games
  • Deaths as builder, and average over builder games
  • Total games where you AFK'd as builder, and the average

To clarify, afk means if you afked at the beginning of the game and then automatically became an observer.
If you aren't afk but died later in game and then went over to obs via -obs/-kick, that won't be counted as afk.

Stats for all: K/D/A, W/L

Kills (minis or titan for builders; builder kills for titan), Deaths (only for builders), Afk (only for builders).
Win/Lose both for builders or titan.

I am not sure if we got all game messages by now which indicate these scenarios but we'll see how the stats system works.

One question tho, @uakf: How is the elo in ID calculated?

One question tho, @uakf: How is the elo in ID calculated?

It's the same calculation as any game. The winning team gains ELO, the losing team loses ELO, and the gain/loss is determined by the average ELO on both teams.

I really think ELO is a bad idea due to pub stompers. Island Defense is a unique game of 10v1 games. If there was a really good titan, he'd be pub stomping all day to get ranked #1 ELO in no time.

Then, builders will refuse to play with the titan due to losing ELO, causing empty lobbies.

Same with Island Defense with pub stomping builders, if there are 3-4 decent builders and no noob feeders or leavers, then the titan will most likely lose.

This may also result in empty lobbies where titans would refuse to play in case he loses ELO.

ELO or W/L will also promote noob behaviour like feeding off noobs, killing leavers, and stalling.

There are other reasons too, but this is the same reason I don't support W/L, but at least W/L still won't be ranked.

IDstats is getting bugged if game doesn't auto-end. Just played a titan game where the last remaining builder left, which didn't trigger the game-over timer.

Stats in general are pretty bugged.

Not sure if we should make that public or if you could wipe out the ID stats so we can start from 0 once it's fixed.

You should write @uakf.b or post in Complaints if there's problem, I don't read this section.

I made some changes to bot so that it works with the scenario where the builders all leave to give win to titan. That's the only situation I see linked, if there are other scenarios then please post..

@uakf.b Kay, so let's make this the official ID stats bug thread.

Current problem: Even if the titan wins (all builders dead) and he then leaves, he gets it logged as a lose if there's still a minion ingame (the minion should have: W/L: 0/1 but gets 1/0, regardless if he lost as builder).

With the current system, the main titan has to keep ingame until the very end.

There's probably a lot more bugged but I had already mentioned such problems when we talked about id stats.

Well, that should be working now like I said, there was condition that there has to be two players instead of just one player.

Sounds good, according to your fix there shouldn't be any problems besides how slow the stats updates. How long between each update is it anyway?
