Re: Dota2
It's probably your settings or graphics card. I distinctly remember firing the game up for the first time and thinking it looked like trash -- until I realized the settings were all on low.
Have you tried playing it yet? What do you think?
Just a forewarning: The matchmaking system is terrible. Be prepared to steamroll a few games, only to be placed on a team of braindead noobs against a stack of five friends. The constant complaint by most players is that the games are almost always one-sided. Truthfully that's one of the (several) reasons I continue to play Wc3 DotA.

Sadly I got steamrolled because my screen was so blurry it was hard to read chat. Then i couldnt figure out how to buy items or what recipes made what. Then they changed the keys on invoker spells to a set d or f lol. (lame Imo) And after the first game I was like... F THIS im going back to dota1 lol

My first game was just as bad, if not worse; I picked Storm Spirit and finished the game several levels behind everyone else because the map/graphics/shop were all so disorienting that I didn't even know what was really going on, during which time this angry Windrunner -- who happened to be my laning partner and especially trigger happy with the Power Shots on all the creeps -- was shouting expletives at me in broken English. "WTF STRM SPIIRT NOB FCKING NOB"
