This unit worth 700 gold, its total hp is 1420+2820 =4240 when initial dps(expected best dps) are over 314-365/s where more than half of dmg goes in aoe when it also has attack debuff in large area for 8 sec =strongest dps/ highest meat shield/ one of best debuff(it has higher attack debuff stats compare to apparation+graves keeper which also 700 gold) for way too less gold
maybe setting cost to 350/450 with addition of re summon ability like lod would help balance it. I am certainly sure 1 pd+2 ea=1220 value will hold just like any other holder rolls available in game atm

In the first replay pay attention to how his build completely destroys level 15 with a send of demon, kraken, behe & wlock. He clears every single centaur before the sends finally kill Pure Darkness' summons - no other unit can pull this off. Some unit combinations such as hydra + revenants come close but they can't become as big in a similar game.
In my personal experience team West send on level xx which East then survive. Now you'd assume the next send from East will end the game and kill West but if they happen to have a strong lane with Pure Darkness or even two lanes - they'll live with no sweat as PD will go mid BIG. My main concern is that whenever PD+adds mid they lose very few units from clearing their own lane which is alarming to say the least.

people who build pd before 10 are essentially tking the shit out of their lane
saving 140 gold on round 4 just to make a AoD (weak on 5)
then upping it for 7 which means u are 1100+ value and still not that great on 7
after 10, it is a good tower only if u a good value/income ratio otherwise it will just leak late vs send round (similar to hades kinda)
all in all, the fuss about pd being broken was only in the beginning when ppl had no clue what the tower did
the only round where pd really shines over other units is 28, nothing else

This is simply wrong. PD is OP as soon as you get about 4 or 5 of them, so usually around level 15, then it is OP every single other levels.

5x 700 = 3500 + other supporting units so lets say 3900?
i have seen a 5200 pd leak vs 4k average send on 17.. its a really good tower, just not broken enough to require a nerf as a nerf would completely devastate it.

It is broken. And also its not true that its terrible on 5, nor 7. With normal support, not even something special, u ez hold 5 with send, or 7. Also 8, 10, everything. If u get overseer with it, u just know u hold EVERY level.
Result : BROKEN.
With so many units in this game who are just usseles, there was apsolutely no need to creat new units. U could just buff/nerf some of already existing units, and get fun from it.

I like new units, but yeah the balance does not seem to be there with AoD. Maybe a reduction in the debuff amount, like 10% less debuff or something would help. It's not much, and it doesn't address the issue of how strong the summons are...but it would be something. Honestly I'm not even sure that it would hurt the AoD that much if there was no debuff at all and just have summons. It would be a little unfortunate since the unit is a nce unique design the way it is but I think it really is too strong. Another idea, just make him more expensive?
