new way to ban flammers
what if, instead of banning someone from playing a game just for flamming. what if we just mute them for x amount of time. i know in dota 2, i you are reported for flamming you lose any in game chat for 12 hours. i think this is a good way to teach ppl not to flame in games.

thats the point. you cant. you will have to learn to listen to people as appose to trying to tell everyone off for not doing what you want.

i think its a good idea to mute ppl for x amount of time, i agree wth virus idea, the flamers gonna have to learn to listen cuz most of them flame and never listen to the team

i think if u mute someone in game or he will feed or not help or play solo so w.e its better ban asap and kick. so he wont ruin your game.

Re: new way to ban flammers
If a person gets muted as punishment, how will he be able to communicate effectively in-game? I'm sorry but i don't think it's a good idea because it disallows them to play effectively since chat is something that is required for team play. If the right to speak is eliminated, then the team with the person that is muted is at a disadvantage.

I wholeheartedly agree with @dreathknight . In any event, there is already an active topic on how to deal with flamers. See viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9526&p=46778#p46778

Re: new way to ban flammers
D2 received a shit storm for muting a player for that long. DotA is all about team gaming, what's the point of playing as a team if you can't talk?
