One thing bear-only syllas always seem to overlook is that the rest of their team always has to suffer because of their "strategy". In any team fight, the bear is always going to be the final priority of the other team, which puts extra pressure on the non-fountain heroes of the team and always ensures the bear is going to be the last one left to kill any remaining low health enemy heroes, whether the fight was won or loss. It's a lot like playing with a techies, except you make the decision to let your team eat shit while you frolic around the map with your bear even though you had the choice not to. The way they see it, if their team wins, solo bear works. If they lose, team sucked and fed (unlike them), so solo bear works. There's just no reasoning with those guys.
So you gonna delete this one too av1on?
we need to ban for sylla only bear with rad strategy

Re: we need to ban for sylla only bear with rad strategy
You are all completely out of your minds.
It does not matter at all if the "only bear with rad strategy" is a good strategy or a bad one. If you want to discuss further how relevant the strategy is, the pros, the cons, the counters, and so on, you should move on the dota subforum imo.
The only thing that matters is if the player is trying to ruin the game on purpose or not.
Therefore, if you go bear only with radiance and farm woods without playing with your team at all, you might get banned for game ruining.
However, if you play with your team and/or if you use your bear to push lanes or try to win one way or another, it's not game ruining and should not be banned.
=> As any game ruining ban request a case by case study is always performed by the moderators (implying subjectivity and the fact that they do not always make the right call as you may have noticed).
Obviously, picking jugg, buying radiance and refusing purposely to use his spells / attacks and say so in the chat is crystal clear game ruining and should be banned accordingly.
Nevertheless, it should remain the same and this suggestion should be denied.
Indeed, the strategy itself has been proved sucessful in countless pub games and can not be considered as game ruining without the context of a specific game and situations.
Note: I only read OP.

Again this is what annoys me - How much different is that from a bear only strategy?
Can the bear use spells? Unless you count return as a spell, no he can't - He can use items, but so can a hero
Can the bear attack? No, he can't, unless you use Sylla (which you don't since you afk fountain with it)
So again, what's the difference between one and the other?
Jugger refuses to attack because he has the command to do so, while bear can't attack cause you refuse to use your hero - The idea behind it is exactly the same.
I could just pick rikimaru who has perma invisibility, farm radiance necrobook and dagon, and just defend/push with rikimaru, like the bear does, and not attack (Nothing says that i'm forced to attack, since the bear is allowed to play that way - as long as i defend with radiance, and push, and teamfight etc, im not playing any different than the bear does).
At this point, idc if this is approved or not, but at least define what is allowed and what is not: You cant say that using bear only with radiance and items (which cant attack) is allowed and perfectly fine (as long as you defend with radiance, push/teamfight etc.), and then decide to ban a hero for doing the same (not even talking about aims brq atm), when it's literally the exact same thing.
So either:
A) Bear only strategy is perfectly allowed (meaning that you defend/push/use items, but you can never attack since you don't use your hero), allowing room for other heroes to do the same (since the previous is allowed).
B) The ban requests are judged case by case: This is the ideal, but according to the moderators so far (and the brq overruled by beerlord back then in 2016), this is not the current ruling.
Note: I suggest you read Zam's posts (since they are detailed and pretty much sum the idea behind this suggestion)

Amazing what a discussion was started here and i appreciate you guys input on it.
But the point here is that we banned for it and will always do so if its done to just troll around.
If there is a reason why he does it, or he only does it for a small amount of time or w/e the game is going on like he wont get banned.
Creating a whole new rule for this isnt leading anywhere except creating confusion and failed BRQ.
So just remember: If someone trolls around, he can get banned.
Suggestion denied
