Bannable Glitches

Time to make a proper list. It's absurd to have an arbitrary list of bannable offences that people don't know about, especially when it involves buying basic items.

We need a clear list and need it stickied so there's no confusion.

I've just seen the first ban for using Urn of Shadows on Batrider. First time I've seen that labelled a glitch exploit.

What else is there?

Anything that is a glitch/not intended is bannable. There is no need for a list, they won't make one to teach people all the bugs they can do.

Obviously if you don't know something is a bug, the ban can be appealed.

Same is true the other way. If people are using glitches, bans can be requested. I'd rather not have to wait for a ban appeal for something I was not aware of.

I guess you can add using Spectre’s dagger to leave the edges of the map to the list... Although in the 12 or so years that Spectre has been part of dota, I’ve never once seen it “crash the map”, and believe me, I’ve used dagger in such a manner many many times.

I don't understand the pushback against developing a bannable glitch list. There can be a warning at the top that the list is not all inclusive. Why would you not want to inform players of what is against the rules?

This is the first I've heard bat + urn is bannable, and I am very glad I learned this from here as opposed to after I get banned for it.

It seems off to me that someone can get unbanned for ignorance of a rule. (as hinted by EdgeOfChaos's first response)
