Hi all, My names Jer.
I haven't played Dota in ages. Downloaded it again. Played, I think 3 games here. First game was short maybe that's why this didn't happen. But, the 2nd two my laptop powered off mid game. I got on Youtube and looked up ideas.. Took it apart, cleaned it out, ran malware/anti-virus and did a Boot Scan. Anyways, I ended up getting banned because of my 2 "games left". I don't really want to get a bad rep if this keeps happening, so does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks, Jer.
Note: Haven't tried other games. It doesn't power off while browsing or idling, just in game.

Re: Laptop Powering Off
Playing games is more hardware intensive when compared to using a browser and/or idling.
If you're playing games, are you playing on a solid surface, or are you playing on your lap?
Ensuring you have proper spacing for venting purposes will help keep your core temperature down.
If your computers internal temperature reaches a certain point, the CPU can shutdown your computer to prevent permanent damage due to operating in unsafe temperatures.
You can monitor your core temperatures via some programs available online. Doing a quick search, you can attempt using "core temp", however, have not personally used programs such as this. This can help in general so you understand and/or avoid running your computer too hot and it shuts down.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried using the ENT Connect feature. It shows the game lists, but when I try to join.. It tells me I'm unable to join the game. It doesn't seem to get hot which is why i's so confused. Zero Viruses also. I've even ran it with the battery out and just the supply and vise versa.
