Any further thoughts: at 25:45, we had a battle bottom by the enemy tower. Sniper comes in late, as he always is, and at the first site of danger he decides to run away with full hp and mana, leaving 2 teammates to die, and also attacked the wrong hero when their husk had 1, possibly 2 hits left to die. chat log from my team after the incident (including me)

Now, I just want to be clear, I am extremely helpful to players who are not that good, i try to help with item builds, where to go in the game, and just overall do my best to help them get better. Players like him, who I have played with quite a few times now, are either incompetent, or unwilling to learn how to play. Another player who fits a similar profile is the player "Amodeo" who goes mid no matter what, and solo's all game, and when he loses (HIS ELO is like 450-500 or something) he calls his whole team noob.

As for the player in question, he blames his team, saying what we are doing isn't smart, etc, and doesn't listen to ANY advice given to him, he says he listens, but he proves time in time again he does not listen. Players like him make the ENT DOTA community way less fun to be a part of, as any game he is in, its very likely he will just do what he does, which is pick sniper almost every game, and come in late to fights, and leave the first second any sort of danger arises (Thus his KDR, which is roughly a average of 3 kills per game, and 4 deaths per game, both of which are extremely under the average, and his ELO, which is 735)

He puts his team in very difficult spots, because he is more or less useless, every single game, if its a close game, his team will lose, because it will mainly be 5v4 the whole game, the only times he is useful, is when the team is doing well and he is in no actual danger of ever being killed, and even then he solo's most of the game so he may not be useful in those situations either.

I know he is mainly just a bad player, and his intent isn't to sabotage games, but in practice, what he does is ruin games, and is too stubborn to listen to any advice. It is in my opinion, that he needs punishes via a ban, to hopefully send the message across that he needs to quit being stubborn and to actually learn how to play a different style of play, because the one he plays right now just flat out ruins the game of DOTA for anyone on his team, and makes the game way less enjoyable. I am not alone on this at all, there are plenty of people who feel the same way about him, and about Amodeo. (theres others, but those 2 are the worse of the bunch)

I was in that game with Badabing and Fook. Fook said it well, and I agree with everything he said. With his comments, like the one cited by Fook, it does seem like he is trolling and intentionally not helping, especially after he's been told to get involved in team fights. It's mostly him being a bad player, but he also refuses to listen, which is refusing to "cooperate" with team, which is a bannable offense.

I watched the replay, I would agree with that ban request because sniper uncooperative with teamate and troll the game. From 20-28 mins sniper troll talking to his allies.

Its been a week, are you guys going to handle this? I understand you guys can be busy, especially with real life stuff, but have never seen a ban request last a week before without being addressed.

I don't see any instances of him game-ruining. In most scenarios, he was trying to help. The timestamp you mentioned, you actually rushed in while Sniper was on his way there. Sniper's MS is slower than most heroes so it's unfair to pin him for that when you guys should have waited for him instead of getting caught there.

I watched the game and it doesn't really seem like he knows how to play sniper. He asked for help at one point in the game on which items to get but wasn't given an answer. Considering he's a below average player and the mode of the game was AP, I can understand why he played poorly due to having less farm and sniper being a hero that needs positioning and for lower level players, it's more difficult for them to comprehend. Not to mention that the enemy team had a leaver/heroes that could easily close the gap on sniper and there really isn't anything he could do.

Overall, he's just a bad player. I thought he tried to help but didn't really get to farm and the non-em mode certainly doesn't help him at all.

Denied, I do not believe this is considered a game ruin. First of all we must accept that he is simply bad player 700 elo, and it was nonem vs mort storm. In order for this to be game ruin itd require multiple absence of team fights / intentional feeding which i do not believe happened in this game.
