Help with desync

Postby xSAINTx1 » Sun Feb 24, 2019 10:37 pm

I played one game of single player custom game wc3 (melee) and am still on patch 1.30.1. I tried to join a game on LAN to play dota and got desync. This is the first time i did this, and have been desynced. Is there anyway to stop being disconnect? What have i done wrong? Any help would be great.

Restart wc3 after the melee game, and if that doesn't work restart your pc.
Those who do not seek will not find.

@xSAINTx1

So the restart solution does have some success depending on what the issues is - It seems to reduce your chances of desyncing generally especially for certain games like HHTD. But more importantly when using wc3connect, make sure your wc3connect name and your LAN name match. If they don't, there is a high chance you will desync.

Desyncs in general are caused the map though and there isn't much that can be done other than the above 2 troubleshooting techniques.

Yeah I closed my wc3 and reset my computer. Works fine now, just as before. Thanks!
