The game level is already diminishing with leavers and habitual ruiners/trolls lurking.

Astros understands the game and has a good history with ENT players.

The game quality has gotten much better ever since he's been active with ruiners getting tamed and players playing with higher attention and understanding of team game and playing their roles

To all the haters, yall are just mad cuz you have been banned previously with your foul play/trolling.

Trash talk in game is part of the game,I feel sorry for you weak folks that take it seriously and to the heart. Think about how robotic and dull it would be if we were all playing muted without chat.

Agree, Astros was the best option we had. Without an active dota player mod, the games will slowly degenerate. Someone like Halo while having all other qualities that make a good moderator lacks a critical part which is like you said game knowledge. The only other option if Astros doesn't want to / isn't reinstated, is MIKEJONES. He has the temperament required to be unbiased and has decent game knowledge to boot.

Examples of the haters/ruiners :

papi reveng has been ban dodging but playing better without trolling ever since Astros kept him in check. This guy has a long history of game ruining and trolling.

gimly is another ruiner/troll but he now lets a higher elo player mid on his team ever since the ban.

The fact is, Astros handled both of you perfectly.

100% agree that we need Astros back if we want to hang on/preserve what little game quality remains on ENT. I thought Astros was extremely fair (even when I was banned) while keeping folks accountable. Lots of examples of even the worst offenders of game ruining being unbanned with a simple sorry post. At the end of the day, no mod will be perfect and will naturally get a lot of hate as a function of their bans but without any sort of real accountability, games will certainly rapidly devolve. The problem is - being a mod is tough as it takes a lot of time, requires good game knowledge, and is largely thankless as most attention is mainly hate from folks being banned.

Outside of Astros, I think Mikejones makes a lot of sense and also Frank. Maybe one of these guys will step up if they have the time.

I have been banned many times by Astros, and he is always firm but fair.

He even reduces your ban if you acknowledge the rule you broke and are humble. But he also has banned me and kept the ban in place when i break the rule again. He is as fair as a reasonable person can be.

No one will be perfect. And i think we are all a little racist deep down inside, and if he repents, I think he should be given another chance given how well he has modded this past year. With zero mods, the games cant run. You will have furions tping into fountain, item destruction and tiny tosses teammates into enemies. Please consider reinstating him. Or someone of his skill level, control of their emotions and is not insane. Perhaps Frank or metrolinx or blueneme?

Astros knows very well not only dota rules and game mechanics but also legion td and hell td. I remember his verdicts, he was always reliable and fair. Absolutely best candidate, no question about it. If possbile, bring him back please.

Although, I remember very well what was going on here.
Astros got a taste of his own medicine. I am actually very surprised the owner of this website accepted the abuse from that admin for such a long time.
Nobody is saying all those people didn't deserve bans. They did. But his manners, the way he uses his privileges as an admin to threaten people, dictate what needs to be "purchased" as items, tantrums and ban threats when games do not go the way he wants it, preventing applying bans to his "friends", kicking people in lobby in order to make room for "friends", divulging personal information about users in the game and on the forums by abusing the ENT IP tools, blatant racism for specific ethnic groups, etc, etc, and etc.

There are plenty of people who know the basics of Dota and who can demonstrate being fair in their judgment and more importantly be nice to people in general. Looks like a lot of people got used to be belittled and mistreated by this admin. Those are not normal behaviour. I hope you guys wake up and realize that. I think you guys deserve better than this.
A new mod should be appointed by the community.
Never accept applications from people because usually those people apply to serve their own motives and this is dangerous. It leads to situations where you would have abusers such as astros who will run for such positions in order to stroke their own egos.

The appointment of the moderator should be done by the community for someone who you believe is fair, knows the mechanics, and still shows respect to people.

Maybe I’m naive or something, but while astros did talk trash and could be rude to the crappy players, I never once saw him ban for an excessive amount.

It’s well known he’s not a fan of my gameplay, but also the fact I intensely dislike Trump.

Yet all the times he gave me bans was appropriate and fair. I never felt a ban was excessive or unwarranted. And the handful of times I apologized, he even commuted my bans.

Moderators are people. So they won’t be perfect and they won’t robotic with their emotions. We need a mod who’s active and plays a lot of games. We simply need one or two guys that can ban the absolute feeders and item destroyers and lanya pickers.

If we have to put up with getting kicked from lobbies occasionally or stacked games, I think it’s worth it. In fact, since the mods sacrifice their free time to review games and bans and don’t get paid, they should get some privileges right? Shouldn’t they get something? Kicking someone from a lobby so they can play with their friend is a small token of appreciation lol. Let him do it if he’s an active and fair mod.


I’m not 100% sure exactly what he did to get de-modded. But if he apologizes to the admins and gives his word to not make another transgression again, he should be given another chance.

Just ask yourself one question. We’re the dota games better or worse when @astros became a mod? If you think they were cleaner and better, then that’s your answer.

There will never be a perfect mod. We just need someone who makes the average game better. And not many people are willing to give up free time to keep the games clean. If anything, astros could be too lenient lol.

Or let me mod. Don’t worry, I won’t abuse my power. Lol.
