Leaving after 20
As suggested by dweller, I would like to allow people to leave after lvl 20 or just sell all our units to end it faster if somebody disconnects and the people on the team are ok with it. Frankly it hurts no one and would just like to know how the community really feels about this issue

Re: Leaving after 20
If EVERYONE on the team are okay with it I can't see anything bad in it.
would be nice

Leaving any game in LIHL on purpose shouldn't be acceptable (expect for uncontrollable circumstances)

Long as it's 100% clear that your remaining team-mates agree on this then i don't see a problem to this.

The -ff command would be a fix to all the above and the ideal function, really good suggestion there. I'm there for the -ff command to be added pending it would be possible.

Re: Leaving after 20
I'm against a forfeit function. If there's a possibility to forfeit, more and more people will "give up" a game once they are a bit behind, just putting pressure on the remaining players to give up aswell, be it via direct communication or via "crying" so they lose their morale aswell.
Example:
In Heroes of Newerth a forfeit (concede) function is implemented and it leads to a very bad community. Every time something goes wrong people start spamming "gg, concede", ruining all teamplay and fun and leading to many games which could still be won getting forfeited.
While in DotA 2 there's no forfeit function and the community is much better. They don't start giving up every time someone dies and they usually try harder till the end of the game.
Maybe the LIHL community would be mature enough to use a forfeit function in a proper way, but I honestly doubt it, knowing quite some individuals which could cause problems on this matter.

Please explain why its a bad thing, who does this hurt? Why should it be unacceptable? I don't see the reasoning in wanting people to be sure they see you lose at the end if they already gave up and want to forfeit.

I do strongly agree with Diablo_ on this game, a forfeit command would just bring more trouble.
Also, in Lihl, a game is NEVER over - ANYTHING, almost ANYTHING can happen. Games that you believe you've won with 99,9999 % chance, can be lost .. and game you'd believe you've won with 100,0 % win certainty, you can end up losing! The thing is, the more confident people are that they're going to win, the higher chance there is for them making a mistake, such as not upgrading king, or pushing lumber too hard. Or, if the losing team safes for a long time, for example, one game Beep's team saved from 17 all the way to 26, and ended up winning a game they were far behind. So, a game is practically never lost!

It won't be mandatory to forfeit if your team does....

Read what Diablo said:

This is practially what happened in our game at level 17 yesterday, we lost morale/motivation. Even tho, there were still a chance to win the game at level 28, all we had to do, was survive level 24. So, the loss of morale can turn an close-to lost game, into a 100 % percent lost game instead. That's just dumb, because players should always stay focused on trying to win, thinking a step further than enemy team, wait for them to make a mistake or safe longer, to make that K.O. (Just because one team has less value/income, it doesn't mean they already won).
And as Diablo explained, people would start giving up more easily, maybe already after using 2-3 heals on level 7, with 37 leaks. Some would maybe give up, and lose motivation to tryhard and work into the game again.

Re: Leaving after 20
I have mixed feelings about this too. on the one hand, yes if ALL players will have to agree. Then in principle I see no problem if players forfeit if they are all certain that they lose.
On the other hand, I also fear this will lead to people trying to convince the others to forfeit and flaming if you do not forfeit. I can see the chat before me already: "you are wasting my time, forfeit , we won't win".
It is not a huge sacrifice to just play the game out. When you are 'certain' you will lose then it will probably happen within a few levels.
Also, there is still a fog of war (I presume for everyone ) so there are always things possible you did not think of: for example, bad re-rolls, wrong level sends, lucky sendings for you (for example 0 demons on the weak player, 2 on the strong, or the other way around), enemies building for wrong levels.

You don't stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing.

So is this the reason you demotivate the team? I think I understand your reasoning now, you make us feel like shit and keep saying we lose so that we aren't too confident? I highly doubt that, but if you are, good job because you get that job done really well
Re: Leaving after 20
I'd say no on ff. Might as well play to the end since the game is already signed and running.

I would say I usually do the opposite, by trying to make us focus on the game. Such as when I said, we should focus on the future, and not talk about what happened 4 rounds earlier. But aye, at level 21 when shr00m DC'd, I didn't motivate the team much, cause it wasn't fairplay anymore. So in a case like that, it probably should be aloud to leave, as long as the team agrees on it.
So my suggestion is; no forfeit mode, but the allowance to leave a game after 20, in the case that someone disconnects. So, if it's 3v4, 2v3 or 1v2. It should be allowed for the team with least players, to leave. Since there is no point in playing a game, where you have towers split up, due to duo building or where one person might have 2/3 of the value, cause you focused one lane.
