GRUBBYOFDOTA

Postby NigerianNation. » Sun Sep 16, 2012 4:28 pm

Battle.net username: GRUBBYATDOTA
Realm: US|West
Gamename: -
Bot username: ENT11
Situation: Banned for map hack
Why you should be unbanned: This was a while ago, I used map hack in a dota game to an un-fair advantage. Im really sorry and didn't mean it, I just wanted to win but I now feel bad for what I have done. Anyways I have long-since removed the map hack (actually right after the ban) and actually am helping catch map hacker with the fogclick detecting program. Also, from using the map hack I have been able to know when someone is hacking by there actions. I have already been making ban requests on ent for a while now and think I should be unbanned and to continue doing the good thing. Sorry, and thanks, -Grubby

He has stopped maphacking as far as I can tell. I'm with Wisp. on the netural vote. I think Cyberpunk, DreathKnight, or ukaf.b should decide.

Note: he got banned in July, under the Swazz name.

i agree maybe we can set something up to where i can play on the servers as long as i help out with mods on the forums? idk i usually help out vapula alot i send him replays when i catch people fogclicking maybe i can post more on the forums as long as i can play the servers. since i have the ingame fogclick detector, i could be a great help to the mods and i am pretty good at telling whether or not it is a legit fogclick or a bug :)

Do you have proof of him maphacking a 2nd time? And also, if an admin unbanned him, that's not really ban dodging. He has a static IP, so he can't change his IP without calling an ISP, so I wouldn't call that ban dodging.

If you want to help with ban requests then you should comment on the ban requests, especially if you think a fog click is a bug.

inhouse games are private games. Do you have evidence of him maphacking though or even saying that?

I dont think catching maphackers is a get out of jail free card for maphacking. But, thats my opinion.
