Re: WTphoo@USWEST
I just am curious, are you just wanting to be admin so you can unban yourself? Since you've been autobanned 6 times in the last month

You say it's your hard drive, but several of the other admins have asked you to use gproxy, or that they would unban you "this one time". (Gproxy is a miracle worker, I never play on wc3 without it, and I have an amazing 200Mbps dl internet, but everyone has hiccups every once in a while.)

I do! lolWTphoo wrote:Lol, do you honestly believe I did uakf.b? O.o
Not really, gproxy is fucking annoying as hell. If your computer/internet is not able to play a game from 2002, so I'd say to you back to xbox.teller55 wrote:Gproxy is a miracle worker

I don't answer private messages that should be public questions. Use the forum
Re: WTphoo@USWEST
I didn't submit my application for the basic powers just to unban myself, that's why they have forums to do so. I actually do want to help ENT community to avoid game ruins and running into them.
Re: WTphoo@USWEST
Well say, one more I'm playing, the next I happened to freeze. By the time my computer is running, it would say you were disconnected. Basically click to drop player. Would that still work for me? Usually I'm lagged out or dropped.
Re: WTphoo@USWEST
Gproxy works like this:
It holds you to the game for longer than wc3 normally does, and waits for you to hopefully reconnect to the internet (so if you have a 15 second internet drop for instance it would save you). When the lag window opens (like normal) people can still vote to drop you after a certain number of seconds (whatever uakf.b has it set to), but it posts a message saying, Please wait while I try to reconnect. Players are then less likely to drop you, but you can still be dropped like normal, it just extended the amount of time before wc3 drops you.

Re: WTphoo@USWEST
Oh okay, so this would reduce my chance of being dropped? Do i get this in the ENT connect tab?
Re: WTphoo@USWEST
I'm not sure if ENT Connect uses some form of GProxy, I'm assuming it connects you through LAN directly to the bots (lessening your chances of disconnect? uakf.b might have to comment on that part) but GProxy can be found here:
GProxy++ by Varlock
When you run gproxy.exe for the first time, you will input your username, password, ROC and TFT cd keys, the realm you play on (full realm name i.e. uswest.battle.net), and the first channel you would like to join when you log in (i.e. Clan ENT channel, or w/e you normally connect to.)
You won't be able to connect right away though, when you enter this info, close GProxy.exe and go to its folder to find the newly created gproxy.cfg (created when you enter the info into the .exe). Make sure that the war3path is the correct path to your Warcraft III folder (in case you have it in an odd place) and change war3version to 26 (this has to be changed whenever Blizzard does an update i.e. wc3 is on 1.26 right now so war3version = 26)
Now run the .exe again and you should be able to connect! type /game gamename to search for the game you want, (or /public to see all public games) and go into your LAN screen in wc3 and you will see the games!

Re: WTphoo@USWEST
Okay thanks. I'll give it a try. And well, about my staff application uakf.b, accepted?
Re: WTphoo@USWEST
Why wouldn't you be? I really do want to stop users from game ruining, it kills the whole game.
