Good job promoting cliques based on nationality. Like we didn't have enough cliques rising already.
So you pretty much disallow a lot of players from participating since they would have to find an equal skilled player of the same nationality in order to play...

If you can point out what you're talking about I might be able to understand your post
There are several players from greece or the UK you will be able to play with - I'm sorry ba_fail isn't included in that group.. maybe it's time for you to team with someoe else.

I am not planning to play in the tourney. To be honest I am not planning to play in lihl again since I don't like the road it has been going to for the past month or so. I 've talked with people about that before the tournament and I will stick with this since I don't see anything fun in this game and in this channel anymore. Most of the people I 've respected and liked have already been driven off the channel already and the new wave is far from what we tried the channel to represent at start, which was fun and fair play.
Since I wasn't clear, let me try again. The lihl 2v2 National Tourney it makes people even less open to play with everyone else in the channel. There have been created few cliques in the channel the past time, if you can't see that yet it is not my fault, but this is a true fact and I am not the only person that has seen it.
Instead of trying to make the channel and the chats open to everyone you choose to make a tourney promoting even more the nationality cliques, also making it impossible for people that are from some countries to play.
If you think that I spoke about myself or that my comment was purely selfish you probably have not understand anything from my attendance in forums all those months. I have tried to always help the channel to become better and promote discussion, rather than just being a selfish prick.
However it seems that the selfish pricks that wanted to change the rules and the channel to suit them have been successful in the past, while I have failed to change it in order to suit the majority.
Re: Lihl 2v2 National Tourney
I didn't realise its lihl-only tourney. I think it should be opened to public, because i like the idea of country-based "#1 world" tourney. But when it's closed to lihl only, i don't think it will fly up. Anyway, it's your idea Iznogood, and your right to try things as you like to.

Re: Lihl 2v2 National Tourney
Well this tourney isn't meant for anything else than fun and for letting people try out no mm mode.
Your issues with LIHl you should post somewhere else - I haven't seen any example on people refusing to play with each other because of their nationality.
- I actually spend quite some time doing the background research on if it was possible for most players to participate.
- That you can't play with ba_fail and not want to to play with faith or whoever you refer to as a less equal skilled player is your problem.
IF you could be more open minded and constructive than just thinking about your own team and actually list which players who can't find a partner I might consider changing the sign ups

Re: Lihl 2v2 National Tourney
I understand Feor's comment about further promoting clique building which is currently going on a lot, but imo it's not such a big deal, that one tournament won't change anything.

Re: Lihl 2v2 National Tourney
If you guys are going to make a tournament based on nationalities, it shouldn't even include the lihl part to it.
There is no reward anyways, doubt anyone would care who they team with unless its to boost their own ego. Although I do find it to be an interesting idea, the only thing people will get out of this is the ability to play apgcb without anybody leaving. You can more easily do a trial week in lihl of making the mode apgcb, since a lot of players are interested in it anyways. It's just that without some kind of reward to actually bring in good players, there is no way to determine just which country would actually win

Re: Lihl 2v2 National Tourney Discussion
Well I dont see how this is promoting cliques. But I do understand what you mean, and i dont know how many nations is even represented, and if 2 from all nations, kinda sad to be alone from a country if you wanna play, but I also think its a fun idear to do a tourney for lihl members if you can get as many as possible to sign up, as mentioned in a previous post, this is all for fun and no rewards. But I think that you could even expand this idear, and make it a "cup", like in soccer you have main league in each country, the premier league in england, and premier division in spain, meanwhile cups are running durring these leagues, champions league, uefa cup, fa cup ect.
When mickey added the thread about no fog, I wanted to post something, not similar to izno's idear about a torney, but something in the same direction.
Imaging this, we have the league going, and in that season, people sign up for the "cup", lets say 12 or 16 people sign up for the cup, every weak you will play one game, with a random team mate of the remaining people in the cup every game you will play, all done by rolling dice, all people get a number and people that get paired, lets say 16 people, so players will be getting number 1-16, and then 4 games each round, so the dice get rolling, first will be players, second will be game they get placed in, so lets say player 1 and 14 comes up on dices, and 4 comes up for game, then player 1 and 14 will play as a team in game 4. this will be done every weak, with maybe this mode, or another mode or random mode every match, decided by poll every weak ect. Now I know this would require some time, and it might be a bad idear, but it could be fun way to try new modes, and play with all people without elo or nothing, just for the fun. Idk if this is even possible and if it will require to much work to get in progress. But it could be a fun way to try new game play and modes without risking anything.

Re: Lihl 2v2 National Tourney Discussion
Why? people talk about less and less quality and quantity in the league, you cant work on the amount of people in the league, only as many people as the amount vouched. but you can work on quality, this is done by practicing and practicing is done without score system, so people can learn and gain experience, this is a way to do it, with no fear of dropping in elo or getting in troubles, cause if you loose it wont matter

Re: Lihl 2v2 National Tourney Discussion
when did i ever say i was worried? its a public forum im allowed to share my oppinions, I was never worried about anything but winning, wether it was a dumb test in the school or a football match or a stupid computergame, i play to win, and when i feel i get an unfair disadvantage, or feel i get unfair treated, i burst into flames, which the recent days of action has been shown by one post after another on this forrum, I am a very bad loser I hate to lose, its part of my nature.
With that being said my idear makes sence, its a good way to increase the skill lvl, making people play together regardless of elo or skill, everybody have a chance in the games, and since no elo or prize is involved you can take risks and chances without being afraid of loosing, I also suggested a long time ago that they changed hr bot to non elo bot, so that people could play games and practice for tourneys or LIHL, without risking anything.
